"The location of The Notary is excellent and convenient. The staff was mostly excellent; the only exception being the valet was somewhat rude to my husband when we checked out. Unfortunate since we are normally excellent tippers. The coffee maker in the room didn't work very well but we just got our coffee downstairs at the wonderful coffee shop.
The bar was great and had friendly bartenders. The restaurant was decent.

The area is in my best opinion dangerous for family travling, the nearby houses are empty closed up buildings with no one living there.
The sound from the street at night was crying women getting beaten by their boyfriends and gun fire.

"The hotel is located in the perfect central area for walkability to every thing. The Reading Market is next door with lots of amazing food options. The Jefferson Septa train Station is a half block away for those taking the train to/from the airport.
The beds are very comfortable with high quality linens. The shower was great and had Kind brand products.
I didn't eat in the restaurant but I did get a food order to take back to my room and it was delicious!"

Excellent venue choice when attending a concert at the Fairmont Theatre. Room decor was modern and sexy. Huge sofa and the soaking tub definitely soothe the soul after a long night. The exposed brick and sky light brightened the morning with the hand picked Coffee which was A ! I would give additional an additional plus plus if cream or sugar was in room....
