"El Ben is a beautiful, well run property. Everything about our stay was fantastic from the staff to the food to the cabanas. All the food is made from scratch - from the bread for morning toast to the fresh squeezed juice. I only gave it a 3 for amenities because that’s somewhat intentional as it’s on the north quiet side of caye caulker. If you want to relax, unplug & lay low it’s perfect. If you want to sign up for outings & adventures off site, you can do that too. "

"The hotel was on the water and centrally located in San Pedro close to several restaurants and bars. From the balcony I could see the pretty and vast ocean. The receptionist in the morning and at night were helpful in providing suggestions where to eat, what to visit, and what to do. Each suggestion was spot on and specially the local authentic Belizian restaurants to try. Highly recommend staying here where there are large rooms, balconies, and AC."

"Room was nice could have been cleaned and maintained better. Had a moldy smell even running ac to try to clear out. Maybe dirty mop smell. Staff are not the friendliest not sure if it is colture or just stuffy attitudes to non owners. Better spits and definitely more friendly host on the usland. Would not stay again."

"We had the 2nd level corner suite with a partial view of the ocean. The room was very clean and exceeded our expectations. We didn't use the pool but it looked nice and clean. The grounds staff did a great job keeping everything clean and tidy. "

"True, there IS a beach connected to the property, however, there is a sea wall, so no "regular" access to the ocean. Although the water at sea wall was deep enough for a boat, you technically "could" get in the water from the boat dock. Our room "door" was a patio slider ...with curtains... As we were on the ground floor, people walking by could see our entire room. When the curtains were closed for privacy, the room was dark... convenient early morning but not so during the day. "I love the location, room was absolutely comfortable and clean. Everything was fine until there is a lot of college students occupying the other rooms it was noisy and they party until 3am no respect at all. I hope they will put a sign to remind others specially at night after 10PM to be mindful with other occupants. "
