Villa Bargagli Busona Ancient palace of the 16th century in the heart of Chianti

The villa rises on a secluded plateau, composed of two adjoining wings linked by a quiet inner courtyard. Its main façade is marked by a corner tower and an irregular rhythm of openings that lend the building a timeless, almost storybook charm. The entrance portal, now topped with a straight lintel but originally arched, is sober and unadorned, save for a stone plaque set above it. From here, one steps into the interior rooms and the grand stone staircase, which begins with straight flights and then flows into a graceful continuous curve from the first floor upward. Facing the villa’s main entrance stands the noble chapel, a place of serene simplicity. It consists of a single rectangular hall, untouched by traces of earlier structures, offering visitors a quiet, contemplative space steeped in history and atmosphere.
