"First of all the Hotel is very old and suffers from lack of maintanence. Which is dissapointing relative to the experience while at the hotel and relative to the photos on hotels.com. We changed rooms 5x in one week because of noise, AC problems, wrong location. None of the issues were ever fixed, but instead we were offered a new room. Very disspointed however with new rooms that were not checked for failures before they were allocated. Expect upbeat ambiance music at the breakfast buffet...

"This was an amazing experience. The location was perfect and very safe. The staff was top tier and the housekeeping did their thing. Housekeeping came at least twice a day sometimes 3. Every day we stepped into a nice clean comfortable room. The breakfast was included and it was really good. The hotel has some of the best food in the area. The staff from the front door, to the front desk, to the rooftop were all amazing. Only suggestion would be to have a concierge to help plan excursions. This...

"This is a party hotel at least 3 of 7 days a week. 50% of the time they have private events from 6pm until 9pm so you can not hang out, see sunset og eat dinner. They let you know 15 min prior the event. We stayed there 5 days and all days were very loud because of reservations, so no sleep at day or night. We told this to the hotel and asked for some compensation but they did never get back to us. We contacted hotels.com. The hotel lied to hotels.com and said we did not inform them, because...

"Been at this hotel a number of times. Conveniently located by the beach and relatively close to historic center (15 min by cab). It seems to me, that service levels are decreasing a bit. Receptionists are somewhat less friendly than they used to be. Rooms are nice (especially the newer ones in “Torre del Mar”). If you dine at the hotel, go for the restaurants “Bijao” and “Erre” (more formal) - you pay more but much better value for money. The beach is nice (do not expect white sand, though) ...

"Loved just about everything. Excellent location smack in the middle of great shopping, restaurants, coffee shops, parks. The breakfast was amazing with choice of anything on the menu. Room comfortable, quiet, and cool. Spa treatments excellent and good value. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Definitely would stay there again. "

"This is the second time we've stayed here and this is an improvement on last time. The room is quieter and a little more space. Last time the ac rattled away all night but this time it is much better. Great location in Cartagena "

"El hotel es muy bonito, el personal súper servicial; siempre están al pendiente de ti, en todos los pisos hay agua saborizada, se agradece con el calor que hace, cada tanto dejan un bocadillo en la habitación para conocer los dulces típicos cartageneros. Destaco la gran atención de José en la recepción, juan y Eduardo en el restaurante. Mi familia quedó muy contenta, esperamos regresar."
