### The Space

Escape to peace and quiet at Elm Cabin, where modern comfort meets rustic charm in a beautiful single-level home. This cozy cabin is your perfect retreat, nestled on a ridge and surrounded by 35 acres of private woods.

Step inside to an open-plan living area, where you can relax by the cozy electric fireplace or stream your favorites on the Smart TV. The space includes a fully-equipped kitchen and dining area, a tranquil bedroom with a plush king-size bed, and a comfortable queen sleeper sofa in the living room, accommodating up to 4 guests. The modern bathroom features a walk-in shower, and a dedicated workspace is available if you need to connect.

Your private, elevated back deck offers beautiful forest views, dominated by a grand elm tree. It's the perfect spot to unwind in the bubbling hot tub after a day of exploring.

### Guest Access

You will have private access to the entire cabin and surrounding grounds. Please note that one closet is kept locked for our cleaning and maintenance supplies.

### The Neighborhood

Our cabin offers a serene woodland setting while being conveniently located just 10 minutes from Carbondale and the SIUC campus. You are also a short drive from the incredible natural beauty of Giant City State Park and the Shawnee National Forest, perfect for hiking, fishing, hunting, cycling, and kayaking.

There are a total of four cabins on the 35-acre property. They are spread far apart to ensure privacy, but please be aware that other guests may be on the property during your stay.

### Getting Around

To help you make the most of your trip, each guest receives a personalized online Welcome Guide immediately upon booking. This guide is filled with our personal recommendations for the best local spots, activities, and dining.

For your outdoor enjoyment, we provide a Weber charcoal grill (please bring your own grilling essentials) and a fire pit with Adirondack chairs and complimentary firewood.

### Important Information

We provide a "starter package" of inventory for your convenience, which includes 3 rolls of toilet paper and 1 full roll of paper towels. For longer stays, you may need to supplement these supplies.

### House Rules

* **Check-in:** After 3:00 PM
* **Check-out:** Before 10:00 AM
* **Pet Policy:** We welcome dogs! Please inform us about your pet prior to arrival. A fee of $50 per pet, per stay applies (maximum of 2 dogs). An additional $50 fee will be charged for any unreported pets.
