We booked a 2 queen bed room but the beds were definitely not queen sized. They felt more like twin XLs. They were extremely uncomfortable, sunken in, and very noisy with every movement. The overall atmosphere of the hotel felt tense. Staff seemed to operate under fear of management, and any time we were in public areas, it felt like we were being barked at by a drill sergeant rather than welcomed as guests.
If you're traveling with kids, be aware that pool access is limited to one hour slots after 6pm, and you must book in advance. Staff enforce this strictly, blowing whistles and ushering you out. It was difficult to coordinate this with young children. You are also required to wear wristbands to swim, and when I explained that my daughter, who is autistic, struggles with sensory issues, they refused to make any accommodation.
I should have double checked the location. That was on me. It is not close to downtown or any major shopping areas, which made things more inconvenient.
Housekeeping knocked and entered our room each morning even though we had the “Do Not Disturb” sign up. This happened while we were still sleeping. The pool towels were tightly guarded, and when I asked for one to dry off my child, the staff member at the pool acted like it was a big ask. The whole place runs on strict rules and very little flexibility, which made it feel anything but relaxing.
