Lower scale 4-star hotel
I stayed at the K+K Hotel Opera in their Cosy Urban room mid May 2022. Here is my pros and cons based on my experience after staying 2 nights at the hotel. Pros The staff was very friendly and happy to help with any inquiries. My room was a standard room located on the 3rd floor and was quite spacious. Very good location. Good walk distance to most things and the street was very quiet. The bed was comfortable to sleep in. Cons Old interior. Could really use an update. Aircon didn’t work well in the room. Furthermore, it’s only allowed to use it during Summer even though it was 30c (86 F) outside. The window was looked so I couldn’t open it. This resulted in my room being very humid during my entire stay. The restaurant was closed during my stay. Only one small elevator in operation Hotel toiletries smells like toilet cleaner. Would recommend bringing your own. The breakfast buffet is very basic. PLEASE NOTE! I received an e-mail a few days after my booking which stated a special discounted offer for breakfast. If I pre-booked it for all my nights I could get the breakfast for 12€ a day. Found out later that this was their standard price and not a special discounted offer at all! No need to pre book as you won’t save any money and might want to have the flexibility to try some of the breakfast restaurants nearby. My overall rating would be a lower scale 4-star hotel and you can find better hotels nearby within the same price range.

I would like to inform you that our hotel Bar & Bistro has been fully open since May 16th, I would like to apologize for the inconvenience that we were unfortunately unable to try our Bar during your stay. I would like to apologize for the inconvenience caused by the fact that there was only 1 lift during your stay, and our shift colleagues will do their best to resolve any technical issues as soon as possible. Regarding the price of breakfast, I would like to inform you that it is usually more expensive on the spot, now, as part of a special offer, our guests can add breakfast to their reservation at our hotel for 12 EUR. Nice hotel with great location
Nice location on the pest side. Close to downtown and you can get easily around within 10 min by walk. Area felt safe. Room and comfort was great. Receptionist during the night was very friendly. Male receptionist trainee during the day had a weirdly bad attitude, not very helpful for no reason. Either he did not care or he was just oblivious, couldn’t tell.

The location was great, which was most important for me. From desk was helpful. Rooms are a bit dated, and my toilet would often run (drip, drip, drip). I was there off season, and price was reasonable. I would stay there again if back in Budapest.

This was the worst hotel I have stayed at in the past year (I've stayed in at least 20 hotels for about 60 nights in that time frame). It took 25 minutes to check in. The front desk staff were unfriendly. The room had the wrong bed configuration. The room was extremely hot and, even though it is advertised as having AC, it only has AC in the summer. The window barely opened. The carpets in the hall and in the room had stains all over. I cannot understand how this hotel has such high ratings. As a point of reference, on this trip I stayed in a total of 4 hotels and I gave the other 3 positive reviews.

Unfortunately, check-in may take longer time due to some obligatory procedures which are set by the law and cannot be overwritten by the hotel. This is for example scanning the documents and completing the form. Without that procedure, hotel is unable to check-in any guests as it is supervised by authorities (with automated systems). You requested a twin room, and your room were equipped with two separated beds, as requested. We are surprised about your negative comment in regards to the unfriendly staff, as we got many-many positive reviews highlighting their friendliness and professionalism. We would be appreciated, if you could share more exactly with us your opinion. Exactly, AC is available only during Summer season and usually hotels are working with same system. Windows may be open partially for security purposes, however our Front Desk Team is happy to assist you, if complete opening is required (after filling in the required form). Unfortunately, we did not receive such request on the spot during your stay. Unfortunately our experience wasn’t great. We were given 2 twin rooms although booking 2 double rooms. The staff were rude and unhelpful and when we continued to ask them to ammend this.

Would definitely recommend
I have nothing to complain about! The location is perfect as you can walk anywhere from there plus have multiple public transportation options to anywhere. It’s a very safe area and the hotel is in good shape. It’s not super new or modern, but they maintained it perfectly. Very clean too and the staff was super friendly.

Otel konumu harika.Her yere ve metroya kolayca erişebiliyorsunuz. Personel güleryüzlü ve yardımcı. 4 gecelik konaklamamda hergünısrarlamoda temizliği istememe rağmen sadece oda toplandı ve çarşaflar değiştirilmedi. Malzemeler yenilenmedi. Bebek yatağının altından kurumuş patatesler çıktı.İlgili personellere gösterildi ve sadece özür dilendi. Temizlik konusunda malesef vasatlar.

very disappointed
The hotel management is not flexible at all: There is no way to check in earlier than 15:00! OK this is the official time, but always "your room sir is not prepared". It's my 4th visit there and the excuse is always the same, even when the hotel is not fully booked. It's their policy (I waited in the lobby for over 3h as I had to do something over my PC) and the excuses were always the same to everyone that came even at 14:00. (most hotels worldwide are flexible on this early check in option, specially with guests that seem to arrive after long flights) About breakfast: when for example on weekends it is till 11:00 and they start picking plates and products from the buffet at 10:40! I can accept not to refill, because it goes to the end, but picking up 20' before it ends, while we are 10+ people, it's a sign of lack of hospitality and unprofessional. No honey offered as an option. The reason to choose the hotel is the fact that it has a gym, as I run almost every day (10+ Marathon finisher), no matter the weather conditions due to my trip. I went the fitness center, 07:30 in the morning to run, I was unhappily surprised as no one of the 2 treadmill machines was working! In the meantime, no sign on the fitness entrance about this, even in the hotel website or social media, was something mentioned, as it happens to all hotels by the management. Even my repeated complaints nobody came to fix it, wasting 1h of my life, waiting for a solution for services that I had paid for

Great location! The hotel is near major points in the city, but in a quieter zone. You have the bus and metro station just a block away. The service is great too! Sebastian was amazing, with great recommendations and really helpful as well

It is adjacent to the Opera House and I had come to town from Vienna to see the ballet. Everything I needed was walkable from the hotel. The breakfast that was included was plentiful and fresh. I'd stay here again easily.

¡Un gran acierto! Un hotel perfectamente ubicado, con un personal amable y un mobiliario en perfectas condiciones. Sin duda todo un acierto. El hotel cuenta además con una pequeña sala de ejercicio y dos saunas, una de ellas infrarroja. Sobre la ubicación poco más se puede añadir, saliendo del hotel te topas con la Ópera y su parada de metro, el Parlamento está a menos de veinte minutos andando... A esto hay que sumar un precio ajustado. Relación calidad - ubicación - precio muy buena
