"Rose cottage is in a lovely village and great value for money. We wondered if the shower room would be an issue after reading other reviews but it has now been completely refurbished to a good standard. The property is clean, comfortable and decorated attractively throughout. The parking spaces outside are limited but we left our car around the corner without any problem. We'd happily stay there again."

"3rd time at Bennys. Such a comfortable house, extremely clean and warm. Village has one shop, a chippy and a pub. Only 10 min walk from the Wetlands, which is great for my, birdwatching hubby. Bathroom downstairs. All amenities are easy to use. Very relaxing for us in our 70s. Communication from Cottages.com is excellent.Highly recommended."

"David was an excellent host, and the cottage was a lovely place to stay. Very comfortable accommodation close to local amenities and a lovely canal to walk down with pooch right outside the door. Although there is no designated parking, street parking is a 10 second walk away, so this wasn't an issue. There was even a guitar on the wall to have a relaxing noodle. Thanks again David"

"Loved this place. Peaceful, clean, decorated with love, very well equipped, super comfy bed."

"This is an awesome location to base yourself whilst exploring Yorkshire, the cottage was exactly as described and Joanne was friendly and very helpful throughout our stay. Everything you need is in the cottage it is well laid out and can comfortable sleep 6. the directions on how to reach the cottage were spot on and you should follow them. Would we go back again that is a definite yes."

"Absolutely beautiful little cottage! Perfect for what we wanted and fully enclosed garden for our little dog! Nice and roomy for the two of us who fancied a few days seeing the sights of York. Shower nice and powerful and location lovely and quiet but not too far from local shops and restaurants. Very clean and tidy upon arrival! Would highly recommend and would stay again! Thank you!"

"Lovely, cosy, cottage.Easy to find and very private. Easy access to York, Pocklington and Beverley by bus. Langland garden centre close by. Mr Chu’s across the road is a great place for drinks, a meal or a takeaway. Hot tub was great. Will be back again as there is so much to see and do."

"Absolutely beautiful. Oweners were so lovely and helpful. Would definitely recommend x"

"Lovely place - well equipped, and very responsive host! Very quiet and relaxing - great chance to unwind while also having the coast and Hull nearby to explore."

"Super cute and clean. "

"Becca and Tony made us feel very welcome, both before arrival and during our stay. The lodge was very comfortable and well equipped. Some of the automatic, sensor lights seemed to take a bit of working out with some switches not in an obvious place.Tip: Take or buy a rubber mat for the shower rooms, especially if mobility is an issue.Very quiet and dark at night."

"Beautiful shepherd's hut great for a relaxing weekend away."

"Though they mentioned but it be nice to have shampoo and conditioner as well as body lotion in the bathroom."

"Great location! Was a bit warm in the room but to be expected for the fine of year, air con would have been amazing"

"Great location for York City centre. So central and very convenient. Would stay again and would use this company due to great customer service."
