"The Orchard Hotel is a really nice place. It was peaceful and calm and set in a lovely area. There were rabbits in the gardens and a deer was spotted in the grounds.
The hotel was very relaxing, with a lot of seating and a bar in the middle. The restaurant was quiet on the day we had dinner and the food was very nice.

Our room was small but comfortable with features matching the age of the property. Breakfast taken in the vine room were excellent with various choices. "Spent two nights as a couple with a small dog. Totally relaxing break on the banks of the River Trent. Stayed in one of the adjacent cottages (no 14). Excellent. Only niggles were that although the bathroom had been recently refurbished, the extractor fan was not working and there was nowhere to hang a towel. Bathroom had the best shower I have ever used. Talk about a whoosh!
We ate both nights in the restaurant. It had a limited menu, but the food was good. Food and drinks reasonably priced....
