I enjoyed my stay, the room I was allocated was tired and needed redecoration, but I stay 2 nights only and did not spend much time in my room. Hotel in a good location to walk to and from train station, access to the beach and the bus stop was a pick up for the 24-hour hop-on/hop-off bus (but only a pick up point for first 2 morning collections and not a drop-off point.

Good and not so good review…
Great position right on the sea front. Nice spacious room with comfortable bed. Only downside for us was dinner. We were told last orders were at 8.30pm. Dinner was in the bar due to low numbers. We arrived around 8pm. Had starters and main courses no problem. Waitress didn’t show to clear after dinner. We were advised we couldn’t have dessert as the chef had gone home at 9pm and the kitchen was now closed. Shades of Fawlty Towers? Even though we’d prepaid for our meal…. Why didn’t our waitress say we needed to order dessert upfront as the chef was finishing and the kitchen was closing??? Put dampers on an otherwise pleasant stay… ☹️ There were maintenance works going on on our floor but they didn’t really affect our stay.

A very pleasant surprise
The staff were very friendly. The room was a free upgrade to accommodate our dog and was very spacious with an enormous double bed (and a separate single). Good quality shower room. Good price, even with supplements for parking and for our dog. We’d definitely stay again.

Rude staff, awful food.
My wife and I stayed in a penthouse for our anniversary. We were happy with the room. Clean and tidy. Very close to the hotel lift which is so old and noisy it woke us up multiple times. The breakfast we paid for was £17 for two people after being told we did not need to pay at reception. This was possibly the worst hotel breakfast I have ever had. Inedible, cold, cheap and dodgy looking meat. Untidy and unclean food area. We decided to raise the issues in the morning not for refund or anything other than feedback. We were then met by the manager who was so rude it shocked us. Worst customer service experienced. The hotel and staff managed to ruin the anniversary experience and upset my wife.

Great stay lovely clean rooms .friendly helpfull staff, beautiful views.... only let down was the noise from the lift ( we were o. WILLIAM room) Which kept me awake until aromd 12 and the awake again around 7am-ish (maybe improvement in sound proofing may help) Apart from that i rwally enjoyed our stay and would DEFINITELY return!

Great Hotel
For a 3 star hotel this one is good value. I had a sea view riom which was big and clean. They could do with slightly more reception staff and the lift is too slow and small for the size of hotel but apart form that all good. Pool was small but warm and well maintained. I would have breakfast next door in the Cumberland hotel. For £12.50 you get a great breakfast in a 4 star hotel. Its £12.95 and not as good in the Suncliff so make the 2 min walk.

I enjoyed my weekend break at the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful when I arrived . The rooms were clean and equipped with every I needed.My room was cleaned , towels changed and tea and coffee replaced during my stay . The pool , sauna and rain forest were excellent and not too busy . There was no extra cost to use the facilities and they provided pool towels. The breakfast and dinners were excellent. Tasty and good portions. Thanks again to the team for an amazing weekend.

Weekend trip
Room was a good size with a sea view, unexpected we also had a balcony. The staff were very friendly and professional The facilities were good especially he use of the outdoor pool and bar area There were some areas of the hotel where the décor was dated and worn and could do with freshening-up Plenty of choice at breakfast but it was busy.

We stayed with our 4yr Granddaughter…Indoor pool was lovely…We had Breakfast very nice…Paid £24.00 for 2days parking…The car park is not big…And spaces are small even for the most experienced drivers….The hotel it’s self need a good makeover…Staff very nice and friendly
