The Grove is a 5-acre boutique farm and creative haven where imagination and nature entwine. Every corner holds a “first”—a moment of wonder waiting to be discovered. Meet animals you’ve never met, taste fruits you’ve never tried, and explore a world where down is up, and up is down.

The space

🌿 SCENERY

Step into a living storybook—five acres of avocado groves, exotic fruit trees, and a shimmering pond surrounded by gardens that change with the seasons. Wander past flowering herbs, towering trees, and fruit you won’t find anywhere else. Every path leads to something new: a hidden hammock, a quiet bench, or a friendly face (furred or feathered).



🐐 SANCTUARY

Here, animals roam and wonder thrives. Meet our gentle mini-horses, mischievous goats, clucking hens, and four Flemish Giant rabbits. Honeybees hum around the orchard, dogs keep watch with soft hearts, and every creature plays a role in the rhythm of the farm.



🍋 SAVOR

Our culinary garden bursts with unique herbs, blossoms, and seasonal vegetables—many of which end up in our farm-fresh experiences. Guests can book private workshops like Forage & Feast, where you harvest and create a farm-to-table snack, or Botanical Dyeing, where plants become pigments. Every activity celebrates creativity, sustainability, and sensory delight.

Inside Faelight Manor (4BR/2.5BA | Sleeps 12), every room tells a story. The home is a maximalist wonderland of vintage treasures and artistic details:



Princess and the Pea Suite: A regal king bed and moonlit bathtub for soaking under the stars.

Jade Dream Room: Two king beds in tranquil jade tones.

Disco Sun Room: Three bohemian twin beds drenched in sunlight and sparkle.

Cabinet of Curiosities Library: A cozy king bed and daybed surrounded by rare finds and peculiar delights.



Inside Lilypad Lakehouse, there is a kitchen*, game room and 2BR/1bath.

*As part of our working farm, the Lilypad Lakehouse kitchen also serves as a workshop kitchen for cooking and processing produce grown on the property. You're welcome to use it during your stay; just note that it may not be fully cleared in the way a traditional vacation rental kitchen would be.

📍 LOCATION

Located in Bonsall, CA—closeby to Temecula’s wineries, Oceanside coastal beaches, Legoland, Safari Park, and scenic hiking trails—Firefly Grove feels worlds away, yet close to everything.



POOL HEATING

In summer, the pool is typically around 78–80°F with the help of our solar cover (weather dependent).

For a warmer pool (approximately 82–84°F), heating is available for an additional fee and must be requested in advance.

In cooler months, pool heating is optional and available for an additional fee.



OTHER NOTES

- Livestock guardian dogs patrol the property; those with severe allergies may not be comfortable here. They may get curious of objects left outside. Please keep personal belongings inside, and doors closed.

- Pets are not allowed

- No large events or parties.

- A liability waiver is required for all guests prior to check-in.

Guest Access:

Guests are welcome to explore the grove and interact with our friendly animals. Please note that entering animal enclosures requires accompaniment by a farmhand for everyone’s safety.



The Neighborhood:

Firefly Grove is located in Bonsall, a quiet rural town nestled among avocado groves and horse properties. While it feels tucked away, Bonsall is just a short drive from the surrounding communities of Fallbrook, Vista, Escondido, San Marcos, Oceanside and Temecula—with plenty of local markets, wineries, and small-town charm to explore. Coastal spots like Oceanside and Carlsbad are also within reach, making it easy to enjoy a beach day before returning to the stillness of the Grove.



Getting Around:

Best experienced by car, as the surrounding area is rural and not walkable or connected to public transportation. Free parking is available on-site (up to 18 vehicles), and most local destinations—wineries, shops, beaches, and town centers—are within a 15–30 minute drive. Ride shares like Uber and Lyft are available, but we recommend scheduling in advance if possible, as availability can take longer.



Other Things to Note:

We have 2 livestock guardian dogs, who roam day and night, protecting the grove. Upon seeing you, they may bark with a friendly hello. Please advise us in advance if you have a sensitivity towards dogs and our staff will assist with a guided introduction. Those with severe allergies or phobias may reconsider booking. Outside pets are not allowed. They may get curious of objects left outside - please keep personal belongings inside, and doors closed.

While the gate and house open with a simple code, we would be delighted to welcome you with a guided tour. Let us know your arrival time ahead of your journey, and we’ll be there to help begin your storybook stay.

We are an active working farm with a caretaker living on-site in Rapunzel's Tower. Unless a holiday, for bookings Monday through Friday, Farm hands will likely be working outdoors during your stay.
