"1hr late check-in to a dirty Deluxe Suite (dust) with smelly water under the floorboards (in front of the right bedstand) and a very noisy AC with moldy smell. A shame for an otherwise beautiful hotel with always smiling hotel staff. Pool bar was nice."

"While resort and rooms were spotless. Staff were more than polite at all times and couldn't do enough for me. Manager even made a point of going around and welcoming everyone by the pool and breakfast time. Would 100% recommend and I will certainly visit again."

"Visited Grand Mercure in 2026, after the refurbishing. The landscaping works at the entrance is still being upgraded, and the entire hotel looks brand new.
The team of staff were all efficient and warm, from the reception, concierge, to the Ambrosia Restaurant. They have a convenient shuttle to the mall, with a brand new van.
The kueh lapis and grilled sausages at the breakfast buffet were delicious, and the chefs did the grilling on the spot.
Will be keen to try the Sup Buntut next time...

"The pool area is quite narrow. To make things worse, smoking was allowed anywhere. It could also be no one was enforcing no smoking at the poolside. I was with my kids and we have to keep moving to different parts of the pool to avoid 2nd hand smokes."
