Wonderful Stay!

This house was perfect for us! Felt like a cabin in the woods, but had all the amenities we could hope for! Wonderful trip and my husband already wants to go back.

Piece of heaven

Absolutely heavenly. Quiet, peaceful. It was well stocked, immaculately clean and comfortable. It was nice to leave the town and return to the peace and tranquility.

Amazing property near Acadia

This is a beautiful location. The house was clean and well organized. The host was an excellent communicator. We found it very easy to get from this location to several hikes in Acadia. Would certainly stay here again. Highly recommend!

Acadia Trip

The home was perfect for our short trip to Maine and Acadia. It had everything we needed and more. The home was very clean and it was a great place to relax after a day of hiking. The owner was very prompt with communications. I would love to come back and stay longer next time!

Our stay at the Wonderland Home was incredible! The property was beautiful, spotless, well stocked, and exactly what we were hoping for during our long weekend getaway in Maine. Check-in and check-out were seamless, and the host was very kind and helpful. Our favorite part was how private and peaceful it felt, like our own little hideaway in nature. The night sky from the house was absolutely breathtaking - I've never seen so many starts before in my life! Thank you for being a part of our wonderful trip!

Wonderful Wonderland

This is the second time that my husband and I have stayed at this location. The amenities are as listed, the home is clean, and the communication clear. It has everything we needed during our stay, allowing us to cook in or eat out at some of our favorite places as desired and/or the weather allowed. As I stated a year ago, it is our favorite of the locations we have previously stayed on the island and plan to book for our vacation again next year!

Very cute house! Layout is unique but absolutely worked for us. Easy access and lots of great information provided about the area. It would have been helpful to have additional mirrors outside of the bathroom and a new coffee pot (existing one does not work properly).

Everything about our stay was absolutely perfect! The house was beautiful, spotless, and had everything we needed. The setting was peaceful and private just what we were looking for while still being conveniently located to everything we wanted to do. The directions were clear and easy to follow, and the welcoming note was such a thoughtful touch.We especially appreciated the little touches the owner has put into the house it truly sets this place above the rest. You can tell a lot of care and attention went into creating a comfortable, welcoming space. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Great place to stay

We really enjoyed our time here. The outside views are picturesque. The location is not far from Bass Harbor and a lighthouse. The house is so cozy. The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking. There were a lot of board and card games, so our family played every night. We enjoyed the great selection of CDs with all genres of music. When we needed anything, property management was right on top of it. We were very pleased with our stay.

Paradise on MDI

We couldn’t have asked for more. The house is beautiful, comfortable, and cozy, with all of the details you could hope for: an awesome CD collection and Bose stereo, earth friendly toiletries, detergent and plenty of linens and towels, and an excellent kitchen! We love to cook and especially appreciated the seasonings, cookware, olive oil and sharp knives (truly glorious and often overlooked with rentals!)Only thing that could have made it better would have been a moose sighting but oh well! :) This house is a gem.

Wonderful Wonderland Property

Of the properties where my husband and I have stayed on our annual Maine vacations, this one, by far, is our favorite. It had everything that we were looking for and more. Though we did not use the bungalow, this would be very useful for any group of four. The kitchen is well appointed; there is plenty of room for food prep and the dinner table nook is spacious. The property is very clean and the location serenely peaceful. We spotted and watched deer multiple times during our stay and the sky on clear nights was wonderful. The location was ideal for us; we made enjoyable evening trips after eating dinner to hike the Ship’s Harbor trail. Concluding, the host is absolutely wonderful and we hope to be back in the future!

Simply magical spot

I travel a great deal for work as well as leisure and frequently stay in rentals for these trips. Rarely have I been so very tempted to reach out to the owners to inquire if they'd be willing to sell a particularly property, but this adorable space almost made me want to move to Maine. Both the main house and separate studio were impeccably maintained, stylishly designed, and perfectly appointed with high quality linens and kitchen appliances. So often rental properties reflect their use as commercial investments in a sort of generic 'flavor', but this place felt like the owners (who obviously have marvelous taste in addition to carpentry skills:) had simply stepped out for a bit and were allowing us the great privilege of adopting their space for a short while. I was travelling with my partner, my father, and brother (all of us familiar with carpentry, design, and have managed rental properties of our own) and we were all really impressed with the property. Location was ideally situated on the 'quiet side' of the island with easy access to excellent dining opportunities and hiking trails without being able to see/hear our neighbors. Couldn't have been more pleased with this spot and that's no small feat since I'm a rather particular guest!
