Located on the quiet side of Mount Desert Island and close to Acadia National Park's Bass Harbor Head Light. This brand new unit features an open kitchen and living area, 2 bedrooms, and 2 full baths that sleeps 8 is the perfect location for your Maine getaway! Enjoy casual drinks on the porch or dinner on the patio. Tide Song-10D offers plenty of space to relax and spend time with loved ones close to all the Acadia area has to offer.

Situated less than 5 miles to the town of Southwest Harbor, this unit is set away from the hustle and bustle of the busy summer season on MDI. Located conveniently off route 102 in Bernard, the property is situated on 11+ wooded acres and is the perfect setting to a relaxing vacation. The grounds around the unit offers a relaxing setting, apple orchard and lots of mossy wooded areas to explore.
The area offers many different and unique dining options including Thurston's Lobster Pound which is only about a 3 minute drive, boating activities, shops and much more. Acadia National Park's Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse is less than a 10 minute drive, as well as the beautiful hiking/walking trails located in the west side area of Acadia.
The bustling town of Bar Harbor is about a 30 minute drive and offers more dining options, shops, restaurants and more. The visitors center and Cadillac Mountain and the park loop road of Acadia National park are also located near the town of Bar Harbor. Tide Song is the perfect location for your Maine vacation, close enough to enjoy everything that the MDI area has to offer, while situated in a quiet relaxing atmosphere.

Part of a 4 unit building, Tide Song-10D offers a private entrance with a paved driveway and ample parking.

With easy access to Acadia National Park and a short distance to Bar Harbor, Tide Song-10D is a great vacation location for rest and relaxation.

Tide Song-10D, an open concept home, allows for a living area and a large kitchen with table or countertop seating for 8, soft close cabinets, granite counters, heat and Ac and vinyl laminate flooring. All new appliances include a side by side refrigerator, electric range, dishwasher, and microwave. The living/dining area offers comfortable seating, flat screen TV with cable, ceiling fan, and seating for 4 at the table.

2 large bedrooms with king size beds, ceiling fans and remote control tv's. The master bedroom has a master bath with a large walk-in shower. The 2nd bathroom has a shower -tub combo.

There is a utility closet with a full size washer and dryer.

Plenty of onsite parking is available. During the peak summer months, the Island Explorer shuttle picks up and drops off at many location on Mount Desert Island and is a great way to get to Acadia without the hassle of finding a parking spot. This service is free and runs from June 23rd through Columbus day.


This property books Friday to Friday only, we do have other properties available for different check-in days.

Comfortable beds and linens, quiet area, great outside spaces, good Wi-Fi, good cell coverage for us too (T-Mobile), best side of Mt Desert Island IMO. Will definitely plan to return again!

We were on the quiet side of the island, which suited us very well. It was a short drive to Southwest Harbor to pick up groceries, so we were well set up. The unit is on the second floor, which involved about 17-18 steps. This was more than we were expecting, but Mike was very gracious in helping us to get our luggage up those stairs. The unit itself was spacious and would work well for larger groups provided people are willing to share a bedroom (two king beds in BR1, and two queens in BR2). The kitchen was fairly well stocked with pots and pans, which was important to us as we were preparing most of our meals. One concern we had was that all the dishes were melamine, which we didn't want to use in the microwave. When we expressed our concern to Mike, he promptly provided us with glass plates/bowls, so that worked out. Mike was a great host and we appreciated his responsiveness and hospitality. Thanks, Mike!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Maine and considered Tide Song our home during our stay. Everything on property was so beautifully thought out and it was new, super clean, comfortable and private. The hosts were so gracious and kind, which just made our stay even more special. We can’t wait to come back and stay on property again soon!

Wonderful property!

I stayed here with my mom and 2 kids (11 & 8). This was my first time renting a place (we usually camp but not an option with my 82 year old mother) so I was definitely nervous. We all had a great relaxing time. We appreciated the quiet and private setting, convenient location and the well equipped kitchen. There really was everything we needed down to the aluminum foil and plastic wrap. Cooked all of our meals, save one pizza night, and the kitchen had everything we needed (we brought our own spices and a couple specific kitchen tools we use but there was salt, pepper, red pepper fles and garlic powder). We had some warm days so were able to go swimming at Echo lake and avoided the chaos of Sand Beach. There was also a fire pit area which we loved using.The host was extremely helpful with what to do in the area and was very responsive to my questions. The unit we stayed it had stairs going into the unit but no stairs inside which was very helpful for my mom. Overall a wonderful experience and hope we can make it back next year!

Tide Song

This was our first time visiting Maine and Acadia National Park. Tide Song was the perfect home away from home. It is located on the quietside of the island and we actually really appreciated that. There are some amazing restaurants and great hikes right near the house (they actually ended up being our favorite hikes of the whole trip). And we were just a short drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia. Mike, the host, was amazing. Communication was top notch - he answered us within minutes and he was also the one that gave us the trail/hike recommendations. Tide Song was safe, clean, spacious and very comfortable. We were supposed to be traveling w 6 family members but it ended up just 3 of us and our 2 small dogs. There still would have been plenty of room if everyone had been able to make it. We definitely plan on returning in the future. Thanks for the wonderful stay.

Perfect Retreat on the Quiet Side of Mount Desert Island

Our stay at "Tide Song" in Bernard, Maine, was exceptional. The property was spotless, and the check-in process was seamless. The online listing accurately depicted the beautiful and serene setting. The communication with the property manager was excellent, and the location was ideal for a peaceful vacation while still being close to Acadia National Park. We loved the spacious and well-equipped kitchen, the comfortable living area, and the cozy bedrooms with king-sized beds and modern amenities. The property's setting, surrounded by wooded areas and an apple orchard, provided a relaxing atmosphere. We enjoyed exploring the nearby dining options and the easy access to hiking, biking, and kayaking in Acadia. This property is perfect for families, couples, or groups of friends looking for a tranquil getaway with easy access to all the attractions of Mount Desert Island. We hope to return next year!

Perfect Acadia lodging

“Tide Song” was the perfect place for our stay on Mt Desert Island. Away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor and yet close enough to enjoy the wonder of Acadia! Easy drives and access to all the hiking trails and “must see” areas. It’s also the perfect “home away from home” with big, clean showers after a hike, plenty of room to prepare meals and relax- both inside and out, and great beds for sleeping after a wonderful day of hiking. Everything you need to make your stay at Acadia perfect!

Great stay!

We were 3 adults and 2 kids, and this home was a perfect getaway! We loved the comfy beds and the very nice kitchen and living room comfy couch space. It was a lovely place to rest after daily hikes in Acadia and to Bar Harbor.
