We appreciated the huge help the hosts were in familiarizing us with the area when we arrived, and any needs or questions were addressed right away. The rum cake on arrival was another hit! "Beautiful, comfortable home in a secluded location, about 20 minutes walk to town and 5-6 minutes walk to a bus stop. Great water access, we enjoyed a swim every day (recommend water shoes). Excellent kitchen facilities, we made great use of the stove, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher and the Keurig (we didn’t utilize the grill on the deck). "This property is a gem! Spotless, well maintained with a million dollar view. So peaceful and only a 10 minute walk to P.O., grocery, gas, pizza place and the bus route. We stayed four nights and thought it was the ideal location. The apartment was super clean and well appointed with super soft sheets and lush thick towels. The host, Wayne is a encyclopedia of local knowledge and very genial. We listened to the birds by day and the tree frogs at night. Just lovely, we would stay here again!"

"Lorna and her family are beautiful people. The Gemstones Property is high on a hill overlooking the most beautiful beach (Cross Bay) During our stay we basically had the beach to ourselves. The walk to beach from Gemstones is fairly steep but there are two other routes. It’s not an issue to sway a decision to stay here. "We had a fantastic stay. They had all the amenities that we could stay in or all the maps and attraction pamphlets needed to keep busy everyday. Public transportation was near the stores so it was easy to pick up what you need and walk about a block and a half to get back home. We found a restaurant right across the street that made the best fish sandwiches. As someone mentioned the shower is a little small but you can work with it. Over all I recommend this is the place to stay I look forward...
