Modern Rustic 4BR Farmhouse

Welcome to your spacious, fully furnished, modern, rustic farmhouse in Bend! This home features many upgrades and wonderful amenities.

Highlighted features:

- Fully stocked woodshed with at least an entire winter's worth of hardwood included for free!
- Large, newly installed dog door in the laundry room with access to the huge, fully-fenced yard for easy pet care
- Views of Bend's mountains from upstairs rooms
- Treehouse, brand new basketball hoop and 12' trampoline in the garden (can also be removed upon request)

The Neighborhood:

Situated on a generous corner lot spanning almost half an acre, this property provides ample space for gardening, entertaining, and parking your toys. While near enough to Boyd Acres to enjoy its many parks and trails, the HOA-free neighborhood still has the feel of a rural and rustic lifestyle, with wild deer roaming the canal on the wide open space of the massive corner lot. This lot affords privacy and space from neighbors. Though it feels off the beaten path, this home is about 10-15 minutes from everything in Bend, including the large medical center. It's about 25 minutes from the Redmond Airport and 10-15 mins from the Bend airport.

Main House Entry and Living:

As you step inside, you'll be greeted by the warmth of real hardwood flooring, a wood-burning stove, and shiplap wall accents that create a warm and stylish flow throughout the main living areas. The living room sectional is a comfy and expansive Pottery Barn sectional that easily seats six. The armchair, ottoman, and couch (in the game room) were handmade in Scotland from resilient Harris Tweed and leather. There is no carpet anywhere! Stylish hardwood stairs lead to a second floor with two full bathrooms and four bedrooms.

Main House Upstairs:

The rooms have unique built-ins that make cubby storage for kids a breeze, with interesting elements such as the built-in twin loft over a closet / cubby / desk space in one room and a long built-in desk or TV stand in the other. Three larger bedrooms and a smaller guest room or office face the backyard. These bedrooms are outfitted with a queen (cream-colored room), a twin loft, and a twin trundle (blue room).

The spacious main bedroom features a walk-in closet and a newly remodeled bathroom with a farmhouse Pottery Barn vanity and double sinks. It comes furnished with the pictured king-sized bed (a luxurious Saatva mattress) and all-new bedding.

All rooms have room-blackening wood blinds, and combined with thick, light, and sound-blocking, energy-efficient drapes, the inside of the home is an oasis of silence, even with its proximity to the highway and railroad. We believe in light and noise control for great sleep!

Kitchen Space:

The kitchen combines functionality and style with all-new upgrades, including solid-surface and butcher block counters, a farmhouse sink and faucet, tons of storage space, a large pantry closet thoughtfully placed near the entrance, and light and bright cabinets. It also boasts a large picture window from which you can view the daily visits from herds of deer in the canal, which this home overlooks.

Game Room:

The game room has a brand new (2024) pool table (Spencer Marston Westchester with upgraded cues of all lengths, including kid length for those tight shots!) and a handmade solid wood wall mount for pool playing gear. The table can be converted to table tennis (paddles, net, and professional-grade tabletop are stored in the garage). In addition to that, the table can be converted to a dining setup for larger holiday guest seating or parties. Along the front windows is a spacious desk for the entire family, and along the back slider door is a Harris Tweed couch where you can spectate on a game of pool or enjoy the sunrise through the high trees of the forested backyard.

Garages:

The main house garage (two-car) is a beautifully styled "man cave" with new paint, light fixtures, and a gorgeous mural of the Oregon forest on one wall. Note that the pictured wood cabinets will be removed, leaving room for shelving of your choice. The laundry area and shoe storage / mudroom are located through the doorway to the garage, making muddy clothes or wet ski gear a breeze!

This unit includes the two-car garage and the enclosed, climate-controlled rooms behind it. This is usable space for storage, pets, or whatever you can imagine! You could make the space into an art, sewing, pet, or indoor garden even more bedroom space if needed. Wall heaters keep the rooms behind the garages comfy year-round. Plenty of natural light comes in from the windows overlooking the backyard.

This is not a shared space. There are inner doors with keyed deadlocks. What separates the two sides of the home is a storage room behind garage #3 (the owner retains garage #3 and the storage room for long-term storage of the garden and other maintenance gear). This inner room separates the home's two sides, and an exterior entrance is on the side for the ADU, which has its separate washer, dryer, and kitchen. Main house renters occupy the two-car garage and the interior laundry, mudroom, and storage space behind that two-car (left side if looking from the street) garage.

Backyard Space:

Near the kids' tree platform is a fully stocked woodshed with ample space for gardening or other outdoor tools. There is also a large gravel area where you can store extra vehicles, trailers, etc. The side gate allows for easy outdoor access to the backyard, and the renters will have full private access to the patio and all amenities.
