"It is an older hotel, so that was a bit of a shocker for us at first. But the location was great and after the receptionist changed our rooms we were quite happy, we got a bigger room with a smaller shower, (not to small) and shady outside sitting area, we were quite happy. The room and bathroom were clean, and because we only stayed 2 days we did not need the room-service. They did bring beach towels and emptied garbage. The breakfast was good and plenty, People lovely, and a superb location. "

"This property is right on the waterfront. The staff greeted us and had snacks ready when we arrived. In fact, when they heard we were starving, they brought us gratis tamales and meat pies. And they were out of this world. The owner is conscientious and our room was fine. "

Robert and Becky are warm, incredibly knowledgable hosts and provide a respite from the hustle and bustle of vacation stress and more tourist dense areas. "We were hard pressed for choice, but really happy we ended at The Palms. Very nice staff, clean pool and even a small and clean gym. Only minor issue were some glass shards that house keeping had overlooked - it was taken care of promptly when we pointed it out. Water pressure on the third floor is not impressive and the beds are memory foam, which is a matter of preference. A/C was super efficient and the selection in the minibar very good. Limited choice of restaurants nearby, but for a stay of two nights it was perfect! Would recommend to a friend and come back if we are ever in town again. "
