We also found it to be in a good location to explore Normandy and the World War II attractions. I would highly recommend staying here."

The back yard was perfect for the kids to run around. Fantastic views in every direction. The hosts were wonderful. Would not hesitate to stay here again, what a gem. "

"During check in we veer informed we couldn’t get a key for our room but had to contact reception hven we wanted to enter our room. Next day we had a keycard. Staff has very poor English skills both reception and waiter in the restaurant. The room was full of dead flies, room hadn’t probably been cleaned for some time. The hotel is very worn down and need renovation"

"Værelset var ikke godt. Vi havde booket et superior dobbeltværelse til to voksne og et barn, og værelset var lille, trangt og slidt. Der var meget lydt, og man kunne tydeligt høre, når dem på naboværelset var på toilettet og i bad. Sengene var ukomfortable og larmede, når man vendte sig. Vi har svært ved at se, at der er tale om et tre stjernet hotel. Personalet var hjælpsomme med reservation af bord på restauranter mv. De bookede også en D-dagstur for os, men undlod før betaling at oplyse, at de tog 10 euro for dette pr. person, hvilket var utilfredsstillende. Det gode ved hotellet er beliggenheden centralt i Bayeux og tæt på katedralen. Der er kun få parkeringspladser tilknyttet hotellet, hvilket man skal være opmærksom på, hvis man kommer i bil."

"La Bellefontaine is a beautiful castle in walking distance to Bayeaux. We got room number one and what a room. Very nice. Missed the garden view but then go one stair down and you are in the park. Nice service, exelent breakfast, and with a chill rose in the glass La Bellefontaine is one of a kind. We loved it. PS: The restaturant were closed most of the time caused to wedding etc...but there are good restaurants in Bayeux inclusive a Michelin coming up. Remeber reservation. Angelo Denmark"
