"I would say the room was great. It was clean and very spacious. The staff working in the office were very friendly and kind. The parking is plentiful and easy to access. The area around the hotel is quiet and calm. The only real consideration is that the area where this is located does not have much in the way of food options, shopping, or much else and the hotel staff and owners of course don't have anything to do with that. "I was pleasantly surprised with the Bear Western property in Staunton. The hotel was very clean, staff was super friendly, the room was adequate and in good condition. All on all a great stay. My only point of feedback is for the shower - when the trigger is pulled on the faucet it doesn't engage fully. "

"All In all a nice place to stay don’t know what happened at check in but it was incredible slow and confusing. The breakfast area is not big enough for the amount of room. Not helping there was a football team that just threw all their things in one pile I the middle of the area and running around."

"This TRU location put the emphasis on "pet-FRIENDLY" by gifting us a treat bag. A welcome gesture while transporting two cats from Texas to the Northeast! The rooms were quiet and clean. The front desk staff made sure we had adjoining rooms (thanks, Leah!). It's wonderful to have a quality option when traveling with furry friends! We will ALWAYS go with TRU when available."

"This property is stunningly beautiful. A wedding venue with lovely lodging. Super comfortable bed in a nice room. Nothing negative to say. We were the only couple in the building until about bedtime and someone else came in. We heard them arrive to the room next door, and no noise after that. The town of Staunton is also a sweet, contemporary mountain town. Do stay here if you get the chance. "
