Barnstable Harbor

Breakfast was terrible, everything tasted off, the waffle mix ran out and was never refilled, the muffins were undercooked, the french toast was almost unrecognizable. The only edible things were the cereal and the fruit. Our room’s carpet was visibly dirty as was the tub. When we came back after a day out there was black gunk in our sink, and again in the morning. Best we can guess is the child upstairs was jumping around and knocked dirt from the fan in the ceiling. The hallways smelled weird, the tub had gross stains around the drain and everything was generally in need of repair with chipped or rotten wood frames around doors and windows everywhere. The bed itself was comfortable, but each bed only came with two pillows, a sheet, and a duvet, no other blankets. One bed had weird stains on the sheets, the other bed had a cigarette burn on the inside of the duvet. The toiletries were extremely small and barely enough for one person. The view was relaxing and the staff were pleasant enough, nothing outstanding but polite. We didn’t check out the pool because we were afraid it would be gross like the rest of the hotel. There’s also a small two step staircase in the middle of the first floor that makes it impossible to use the luggage cart, and of course no elevator. The rooms and halls are also very small. The hotel is easy to find, right of the interstate and it’s an easy drive to Boston. We won’t be staying again.

Friendly staff, easy access to Boston, comfortable room

We were originally booked for a single room with a queen and sofa sleeper and were able to switch to a double suite with a kitchenette for 5 nights. The property is conveniently located between Boston and Foxborough, also close to shopping and restaurants in Dedham. The only downside - daily parking fees to a 3rd party vendor, not expensive and we were able to charge to our hotel room. Otherwise, there is a QR code to pay.
