Lakeside bjælkehytte på Tunk Lake i DownEast Main

Book nu til sommeren 2020. Sommeren 2019 blev solgt af september 2018. Sidste september & oktober 2019 er stadig tilgængelig.

Taylor Camp er tilgængelig for familier, der ønsker en rolig og afslappende ferie på en af de smukkeste og private søer i hele New England. Fem miles lang, har Tunk Lake kun 12 hytter på den sydlige 2/3 af søen. Taylor Camp er perfekt til din familieferie. Kabinen er en bjælkehytte med alle hjemmets bekvemmeligheder: satellit-tv / internet, vaskemaskine / tørretumbler, afskærmet i veranda ... og meget. Det bliver bare ikke bedre end dette! DownEast Magazine (juni 2019) udnævnte Tunk Lake til en af 32 af de mest elskede "Store damme" i Maine, hver med sin egen karakter og charme.

Lokale shopping & medicinske faciliteter: Ellsworth ligger cirka 30 minutter fra Taylor Camp. Det inkluderer 2 købmandsbutikker (Hanaford & Shaws), WalMart, Fast Food (McDonalds, Wendys, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Friendly's, Taco Bell osv.), Home Depot, Hospital, Walk-in Medical Clinic og meget mere.

Sted: Tunk Lake: Der er svømning, vandreture, Mt. klatring, sejlsport, fiskeri på Tunk Lake, og da søen har så få hytter, er bådtrafikken meget let. Ingen jetski er tilladt (ved lov).

Bar Harbor er en smuk gammel by i New England og et must-see. ACADIA NATIONAL PARK er den nordøstlige eneste Nationalpark. Gå ikke glip af Schoodic Point, som er en del af Acadia National Park og ligger lige op ad kysten i Winter Harbor-området.

Restauranter: Der er mange restauranter mellem Tunk Lake og Ellsworth, i Winter Harbor-området og i Bar Harbor. Der er noget for enhver smag fra alle de store fastfoodkæder (i Ellsworth) til meget god mad.

PROPERTY: No Smoking or fires in/around the cabin or camp road. No running, jumping/diving off the dock. No food/garbage thrown in the woods/lake.
BOATS: At the end of the rental Canoe/Kayaks must be out of the water turned over on the dock or on land so they do not fill with rain water.
RENTAL AGREEMENT: Once a deposit is made, a rental agreement must be signed and returned within a week.

We booked for solitude and serenity, and we were not disappointed. Lots of time to read, paint, and knit. Cabin was clean and nicely equipped. Very pleased with our stay. Our host was helpful to provide precise instructions and directions. Glad to mark off the state of Maine with such fine accommodations!

Excellent property on an exceptional lake in Maine. The property was very well maintained, and had all the required amenities (even a lobster pot!). In particular, the host was very attentive and called at arrival to ensure no questions or issues. Will definitely stay there again.

Peace and tranquility

This was our third stay at Taylor Camp and we just love it. Privacy, privacy, privacy. So nice to be able to enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings with quiet and no activity other than your own. The home is lovely, water crystal clear. A wonderful place.

Amazing Stay

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful vacation home/property! It came with so many great amenities that made our stay extra comfortable, from a fully stocked kitchen to great outdoor seating and everything in between. The Communication with the host was excellent—quick and very helpful. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend!

Jim's camp was more than we could have hoped for... well stocked, serene, beautiful envirnment, good communication.,, We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with our adult children and grandchildren and we were all comfortable and felt taken care of. We hope to come back in a couple years again...!

The Taylor camp was wonderful, well equipped and very clean. The property manager was very thoughtful and reached out several times to make sure we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The view of the stars from the dock was breathtaking.

8 Years of fabulous family vacations on Tunk Lake at this cabin! We can't be more thankful to Jim and his Family for sharing their Maine Camp on Tunk with us. We also, recommend renting a boat from Rob Marshall at Downeast Boat Rental to create even more fabulous family memories.

An amazing stay!

This was our second stay at Taylor Cabin. The cabin is welcoming and comfortable, the lake views are beautiful, and we’ve never been anywhere more peaceful and secluded! We spent most of our time floating and kayaking on the lake or sitting on the dock just enjoying the picturesque views and the nighttime stars. Day trips to Winter Harbor, Bar Harbor, and Acadia were also highlights. Hope to return again in the future!

Lovely and peaceful

Taylor Camp is the perfect spot for those seeking a serene space to enjoy the natural beauty of Maine. The house was clean and comfortable, felt roomy even for our large group, and was equipped with everything we needed - stocked kitchen, excellent laundry, games and puzzles, kayaks w/ PFDs, a grill, comfortable beds, large closets, lots of hooks for hanging things, a fabulous screened porch, and much else I'm forgetting to mention. Tunk Lake is a treasure. Great hiking nearby, and we also made several trips to Acadia and Bar Harbor. The owner provided great information prior to our trip and was helpful after arrival as well. We feel fortunate that we found the Taylor Camp for our family trip to Maine.

Great vacation

Can’t say enough good things about this property. Jim was super easygoing through the entire process. The cabin is such an awesome property, and is far away enough but still within reason to restaurants and shopping centers. Tunk Lake is so peaceful and the views from the dock are breathtaking. Anyone looking to get away to an awesome cabin in a tranquil setting this is for you. We will most certainly be coming back!!

Peace and privacy

Loon chatter on the lake, the change of seasons right before our eyes, and the okay to bring our dog made this a special vacation. Such a beautiful spot with so much privacy! It felt like a real disconnect from "normal" life. Much needed and much appreciated.

Beautiful Lake House

Taylor Camp is on a beautiful and quiet lake that’s really the star of the show. The house is comfortable, well laid out for a family, well equipped, and nicely kept. We especially enjoyed sitting on the screen porch and listening to the loons at night. We enjoyed our stay and hope to come back at point in the future.

Perfect getaway

Amazing vacation!

The cabin is beautiful and spacious, and has everything we could have asked for. We loved the location...very quiet and secluded, but close enough to shopping, restaurants, etc. We enjoyed canoeing, kayaking, and just relaxing at the cabin; we also made several trips to Mount Desert Island for hiking, whale watching, etc. The owner was extremely helpful, answering questions before we even booked and providing a lot of info about the cabin, the area, restaurants, etc. before we arrived. Awesome time for the whole family!
