"Bettina and Darwin are the most hospitable hosts imaginable. There are only 2 rooms, so you immediately feel one of the family. My room was divine, colourful and comfortable. Breakfast with a breathtaking view over Banos, under the supervision of their two llamas grazing nearby. It’s worth coming to Banos just to stay here. Only caution- the road is very steep. "It's a hostel, not a hotel, so if your expectations are set appropriately, this is a superb find. A bit out of town - 15 mins walk downhill into town and a $1.50 taxi ride home - but nestled at the foot of the mountains. So much nicer than the hundreds of hostels surrounded by karaoke bars near the bus station in town. Run by the nicest, most obliging family. A fabulous breakfast included. Recommended most highly."
