"Negatives: The location of this house does require AWD/4WD to access in the winter. There was no mention of this on the listing. We saw multiple cars skidding on the ice and stuck on the road or in a snow embankment leading up to this house and other homes due to the ice on the roads in this neighborhood. We were traveling with another family who had young children and this was extremely stressful for them as they had to abandon the car in the middle of the road and walk up to the home. My other...

It was in the perfect location, not far from downtown Banner Elk, but still felt peaceful and serene. The house was immaculate and provided a very comfortable stay for a short weekend getaway.
