"Mountain Shadows is a cozy cottage nestled in the forest amongst a few other cabins but with enough privacy to let you lay back and relax. The house was well-equipped, clean and the hot tub was a welcome diversion after a long day out. This is a place I would definitely recommend to anyone."

"From day one the host was in touch with us even before the actual check in date. She was so gracious and always quick to respond when we did have a question. Even when we checked in. We traveled with our son, our grandson and our nephew for a motorcycle rally in Sylva for the weekend of 9/24 - 9/26 and we left on the 27th. "We absolutely loved our stay here… it’s the perfect cottage for a small family to enjoy their time in surrounding areas. Cottage is up on a mountain and we were there in June and it was 10 degrees cooler than in town! Cottage is well maintained and has all amenities necessary for a comfortable stay. We will be back!!!"

"We were not able to use the hot tub due to there not being enough water, which was a bummer. The hot tub appeared old and not very clean. Water pressure is not great if you want a good shower. The fireplace from the pictures didn't work either. I never heard back from the host after I messaged them about the hot tub. For the price, you might as well get a hotel with a working hot tub and good shower. "

"This place may be small is size but it is mighty in everything else. It was well equipped with many extras that are not always available. Kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans and everything you need to cook a meal and have coffee and tea afterward. The bathroom also had extras including shampoo and other needed items.
