"We had a great stay at Mamaw's Cabin! The place was perfect for our party of 3 and our dog and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The hot tub was a great way to finish the day after spending hours hiking the amazing scenery of the area, in particular the trails around the Linville Gorge. Another BIG bonus was being just 2 minutes away from Linville Falls Winery. Cell phone signal is non-existent around the cabin so make sure to plan your routes ahead of time while connected to...

"This was our 2nd visit and found it as enjoyable as it was 4 years ago. The place has been well maintained and offers peace and tranquility. My husband wants to purchase the home and retire there now!! "

"The creek is amazing. Deep enough to wade into. Location is convenient to Banner Elk (you have to try the Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster!!) and Boone (have to try Coyote Kitchen and Stick Boy!) While you're at it head up Beech Mountain in the summer and ride the chair lift to the top (there's a bar up there) and watch the mountain bikers ride down the mountain. House was convenient to all of this! Can't wait to return. Oh yeah, the homemade sour dough bread and jam are a welcome surprise. "

"We had an excellent experience with this host and this property. It’s in the perfect location in Johnson City to be quiet at night (minimal train noise) but within walking distance to all of the downtown restaurants/breweries. The rental was well equipped and extremely clean. I really enjoyed the character within the home, in addition to the welcoming decor. As a property manager for almost 10 years, the responsiveness and communication was my favorite part. We alerted them of a potential need...

"This is an immaculate small house that also has a big deck and lawn which looks out over a beautiful trout stream. Unfortunately I did not bring my fly rod with me because I didn’t read the listing carefully. The trout were rising all around! I was more focused on the location in the tri city area. The place is clean, well appointed and the owners live right next door. I highly recommend it. The photo is from the stream bank. "
