Host was very helpful with accommodation needs, providing good space for our family. Very nice kitchen, well-equipped and functional. Very clean with comfortable beds. Free Wi-Fi available, limitations on use, definitely a place to "unplug". Family certainly enjoyed their stay at The Sanctuary."

"My yearly extended family get together was very enjoyable at this beautiful property. The swimming pond was most appreciated in the summer heat and the water temp was perfect, not too warm nor cold. The kitchen is well stocked, the outdoor bar / grill with direct TV and fire pit was a great gathering spot. The location is a little remote, but still an easy drive to Serpent Mound, hiking, breweries, wineries, Portsmouth Murals, and the world's largest horseshoe crab in Hillsboro!"

"The home is secluded and we enjoyed the wrap around deck. We thought it was a great location as far as near by historical sites, great hiking and things to do with our dog."

"The house was spacious and the property was also with plenty of room inside and outside too. Close to the boat ramps, gas stations and several eating locations. The kitchen was very well stocked for us to cook several meals and was equipped with what was needed. The beds were comfortable and each room had a nice down home feeling as the house was nice and clean. "I stayed with a group of girlfriends, and we loved the place! The plants make it feel fresh, clean, and welcoming. The beds were very comfortable! Loved the beautiful architectural components in this historic home. The morning coffee was peaceful on the porch, and the neighborhood was quaint & quiet. Great hiking nearby."

"This property was perfect for our family for a short stay! The apartment was very clean, and I am quite picky about cleanliness. The layout of the apartment is a bit quirky, it’s kind of a long hallway with rooms off of one side, but it slept 5 of us comfortably and seemed like the right price for what it was. Will definitely stay again if we are in the area!"
