From the moment you walk into Latitude 37 and pass through the extraordinary native rainforest atrium — a lush, living landscape of ponga ferns, king ferns, and native wildflowers inspired by the Waitākere Ranges — you know this isn`t a typical Auckland apartment building. Designed by Lawrence Sumich of Sumich Chaplin Architects and winner of four major architectural awards including the NZIA Multiple Housing Category Award, Latitude 37 is one of the Viaduct Harbour`s most distinctive and beloved addresses — and this two-bedroom apartment captures everything that makes it special.
The apartment is spacious, light-filled, and beautifully presented, with large windows that draw in natural light and frame the harbour views that define this location. The open-plan living and dining area is thoughtfully furnished with plenty of seating for four, and the private balcony extends the living space outdoors — a genuinely lovely spot for morning coffee, evening drinks, or an al fresco dinner with harbour light as the backdrop.
Both bedrooms are comfortably appointed with queen beds and quality linen. The master bedroom has its own ensuite, while the second bedroom enjoys generous wardrobe space and access to the main bathroom. The fully equipped kitchen covers everything you need for self-catering — oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, and coffee machine — and an in-apartment washer and dryer mean you can pack lighter and stay longer. A Bluetooth speaker is included for setting the mood.
The apartment is equipped with portable air conditioning for comfort during warmer months. The Nespresso machine is ready for your own pods — we provide complimentary instant coffee to tide you over until you`ve had a chance to stock up. Starter amenities including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and kitchen basics are provided for the first few days of your stay

Latitude 37 takes its design cues from Auckland`s waterfront heritage — you`ll notice the nautically-styled railings, the symbolic ship`s windows, and the subtle suggestion of funnels that run through the building`s architecture. Latitude 37 sits on Pakenham Street East, right at the edge of the Viaduct Harbour — Auckland`s premier waterfront dining and entertainment precinct. Step outside and within minutes you`re choosing between Baduzzi for handmade pasta and cicchetti, Hello Beasty for Asian-inspired small plates, and Giraffe for waterfront dining with harbour views. The North Wharf dining precinct at Wynyard Quarter is a short stroll west, adding dozens more options to an already exceptional neighbourhood for eating and drinking.
The Auckland Ferry Terminal is a 10-minute walk, with regular services to Waiheke Island (a world-class wine and dining destination in its own right), Devonport, and Hauraki Gulf islands. Britomart Transport Centre is under 800 metres away, connecting you to trains across the Auckland network. The CBD`s Queen Street, Sky Tower, and Aotea Centre are all within comfortable walking distance, as are the Les Mills gym and Auckland Tepid Baths for active guests.
St Patrick`s Cathedral and the Maritime Museum are practically next door, and Silo Park — with its outdoor cinema, weekend markets, and public art — is a favourite evening destination during the warmer months. The city`s Inner Link and Outer Link buses connect the central suburbs frequently throughout the day, and Britomart Transport Centre — Auckland`s main transport hub — puts the train network within easy reach. Uber and taxis are readily available across the city at any hour. If you have a car, a secure park is included with the apartment and the motorway network is close by for day trips to Waiheke Island ferry, the Coromandel, Northland, or anywhere further afield. Auckland Airport is approximately 30–40 minutes by car depending on traffic, with shuttle and rideshare options available around the clock.
