Our room #416 was in awful condition. The window screen was ripped, the blinds had many holes in them, the room door was not secure , the carpets need to actually be vacuumed, the shower water supply had to be forced to the on position and the overall condition of the room was very poor and warn out. I do have pictures of these issues. To charge $400 for a one night stay and to be in that condition is clearly a business that doest take care of their facility nor take pride in what they have to offer. This will. be my review statement.

We are working with our maintenance team and housekeeping staff, and they are addressing the issues you mentioned directly with your room however I apologize it wasn’t resolved sooner. I hope we will be able to retain your valued patronage and regain your confidence when your travel plans again bring you to the Jersey Shore area. If I may be of any future service, please do not hesitate to contact me directly. We would love to do something for you to make up for this.

It’s a nice hotel in a great location. But upon check in I was told there is an additional $25/day “service fee” and $40/day fee for parking. I asked about street parking and they said I might save a little bit of money if I park at a meter on the street. The concierge failed to mention that there was a free parking lot 1 street away. The room was clean and nice, but the windows were old and were letting a slight breeze in even thought they were shut. It was very very windy that day. And the curtains were ripped and very old. In the end it was an okay experience, but given the hidden fees on top of the original price (which was not cheap) I would have expected better curtains and windows, and to be told there was a free parking option down the street.

Hotel is a little dated but has some character, close to beach and boardwalk. Shopping is nearby. Did not have free parking, so this was an additional expense but all in all not a bad place to stay.

Property is old. It is a historic site. That said, very nice location, ocean view, steps to Asbury Park boardwalk. Property has limited food and beverage choices. That would be nothing for breakfast on Wed. Thur and Friday. Rooms are large but dated and need work. It appears renovations are taking place on the property. If you want to explore Asbury Park it is an adequate choice.

The property needs major renovations. Carpet was dirty and most of the things are outdated. Does not feel like 3 star. Also, the view is not that great.

The staff was exceptional. The property had very limited parking. You could pay for street parking or pay for valet parking. The property needs work, who ever did work in this hotel, they didn't care. The fixtures are old, poor lighting.

Stayed several times, each time getting disappointed. Maybe the first time was good because it was the summer. If you're going to be open in the winter, there has to be a draw, things open, especially if you're going to continue to charge resort fee. Sitting in the lobby isnt resort worthy. Next time, staying elsewhere. Its a missed opportunity on the hotels part because of their prime location.

This whole ‘hotel’ is horrible. Beds are the worst I’ve ever slept on in all my years of traveling, bathroom lights are on a timer and shut off while you’re in there, coffee is “free” but you can’t find it and you end up accidentally paying 8$ for 2 coffees in the lobby. Shower backed up so I was standing in 2 inches of water the whole time. Air conditioning didn’t work even though we had the key in the slot needed to run it (can only run when you’re in the room). Toilet sounded like a freight train squeezing to a stop for five minutes after flushing and shower head kept going for 5 minutes or so after shutting off. Overall not clean, comfortable or worth our money.

The desk clerk was very nice. It's winter at the shore, so it was very quiet. The view was good, a little of town, a little of the ocean. Prices in the town were good. Nice happy hour at the Iron Whale.

Firstly the valet attendants and front desk staff were super friendly And helpful. The room was clean where it counted - bed and linens, bathroom and so on. There were a few elements to the room and property that made me question the cost of our stay. For instance some of the decor and furniture in the room was more dated and worn than pictures would lead one to believe when selecting the hotel online. There was peeling wallpaper in both the hallway and our room. One of the lamps by the sofa did not work, the toilet handle was loose causing it to run water constantly which was a bit annoying when trying to sleep. All in all it wasn’t a bad stay but I am still questioning the cost versus the value.

Weekend Getaway
Booked a short weekend getaway. The hotel itself is super clean and it gets bonus points for being pet friendly. However, the wifi wasn't functional which caused some work related issues for me since I was unable to use my laptop. And....I asked for a room that was not adjacent to anyone that was attending a wedding that was being hosted. I wasn't so fortunate. My neighbors partied until about 3:30 AM until I had to ask the front desk to ask them to quiet down. Overall, I would stay here again. Also, parking isn't free. It's $50-$75 per night. It's cheaper to park on the street which is $2/hr.
