"The views of Mt Meru and the surrounding bush country were magnificent. The grounds include banana, papaya, mango, pineapple and avocado plants/trees, all of which enhance the experience. The staff were extremely attentive and polite. All speak English. We loved the food so much my wife wanted to bring the chef home (joking of course, but high praise). The lodge staff were trained as part of a program to provide a good livelihood to local residents who otherwise would have limited...

"I can't say enough good things about Kaswende Farm. The owner was the most remarkable host I've ever met. He arranged for a pick-up for me and treated me like family on my arrival. "I arrived at the property at 4am. My driver woke someone up in order for the gates to be opened. From the moment I stepped into this magical world, I felt swept away by the atmosphere, the 4 poster bed, the warm shower, the surrounding nature and even the charming monkeys running on the property. I enjoyed an in-room massage and a fantastic breakfast and lunch. Five stars are not enough. This place is definitely a 10 out of 10. "

"Fantastisk service, dejlig mad. Meget søde og hjælpsomme ansatte på stedet. Rengøring i top. Virkelig hyggelige omgivelser bl.a med colobus aber i træerne i haven. Eneste minus er, at de ikke så gerne tænder generatoren, når strømmen går."

"Oke hotel voor een doorreis. Flexibel en vriendelijk personeel. Kamer was oke, wat aan de vieze kant (beddengoed en spinnenwebben)."

"I love this hotel! It’s clean and super safe (they have a security guard at the gate). The staff is helpful and welcoming. They can help you find restaurants, get a a taxi, even just answer questions about Tanzanian culture. Most speak very good English. The owner is onsite almost everyday and really nice. It felt like a home away from home. Don’t expect anything fancy though. The rooms are comfortable and clean but not luxurious. The top selling point is the atmosphere, which you can’t get at...

"We were taking the shuttle bus to Nairobi and we were picked up at this hotel. Very clean but the amenities are sparse: 1 towel, 1 bottle of water, 1 soap, no shampoo. Bathroom needs attention, no lighting above sink, faucet turns at base when turned on. Hot water for shower is a plus."

"Property was exactly as pictured. Even better! The staff was very welcoming and friendly. They were very accommodating. The owner was super sweet and made sure we were good. I utilized the rooftop bar, the pool and the laundry service. The property and rooms were very clean and comfortable! The food and drinks were good and the chef was nice! And our driver, Mike, was great! I would definitely recommend staying here and will be staying here again! "
