Beautiful property, great service - one challenge
Beautiful 5 star hotel 20 minutes walk away from city centre of Arequipa. Nice garden and swimming pool area. Rooms are big and nicely furnished in classical style. Beds firm and really comfortable. We had a problem at check-in (hotels.com status not recognised) but that efficiently was solved on second day. Overall excellent and professional service - including reception, cleaning staff, team at breakfast and in the bar. Only one issue: for unknown reasons hotel staff insists in keeping external and all internal doors open at all times - even during cold night hours. Combined with lack of heating it means that the common areas of the hotels are freezing cold in the morning and evenings. We left a dinner at the hotel restaurant (great food, though slightly overpriced) after less than one hour due to low temperatures, where we had to sit wearing our coats. A pity because the hotel is really great in all other aspects.

Nice property, wonderful breakfast. The one thing we did not like was the shower. It is open on one end so cold air came in, water temperature was inconsistent and there was a puddle of water on the bathroom floor by the time we were done so we stood in a puddle of water to use the toilet. Seals on the door were bad. That is the one thing that would keep me from returning to this hotel.

I liked the location and the great green areas within the hotel property. I did not like their shower system in the bathrooms. I did not like the refusal to accept my pet dog because her weight was over 15 Kg.

Great place to stay! It’s not in the city center, but you can get easy transportation and it’s only 10 minutes away. Perfect for families, lots of green areas and great food at the restaurant.

Great staff! Sauna was broken for all of the 6days which was sad but still we understand. Staff did go into our room unannounced with do not disturb sign on the door so that was not comforting. Breakfast is fantastic Pool is chilly but beautiful to relax around The gym was nice to have! The grounds were beautifully kept with a walking path! Square and all of Arequipa restaurants are under a 20min walk which is nice and lots to see! Easy to cab around if needed but walking is faster because of traffic!

This property is well maintained and very secure. We were able to walk to and from the main plaza every day. The breakfast buffet was terrific! I love old world feel of the property. I have never been to a hotel that locks up at night so this was a first for me. I will be going back! 10/10

Leider ist der Flug von Cusco nach Arequipa nach Lima umgeleitet worden. Und leider konnte man die Reservierung nicht mehr rückgängig machen, da auch über das Hotels.com - App-eigene Mitteilungsportal keine Verbindung verstellbar war. Obwohl ich hier die Stornierung wegen Flugumleitung mehrmals mitteilte wurde meine Kreditkarte vorbelastet. Schade ich wäre gerne in dieses ehemalige Libertador Hotel gekommen, in dem ich vor ein paar sehr unterhaltsame Gespräche mit dem damaligen peruanischen Präsidenten Kutschinsky führen durfte.

Well we get there. The air conditioning is broken in the room and they knew it was. Then we have to change our suitcases and go to another room. Then we tried to use the hot tub. It was never hot then I Go to the front desk and pay the bill in the morning. I get going to get my taxi and they're coming after me asking me for 20 vsoyoe

El hotel está situado a las afueras del centro histórico. En un paseo a 10 minutos de la plaza de Armas. El edificio es bonito, las habitaciones son grandes pero tienen ya unos cuantos años.

This is a lovely hotel in a great location in Arequipa. It’s a great value. The facility is comfortable, the rooms are large, the staff are nice, helpful and anticipate your needs. My only complaint is that they should offer bottled water daily to the guests, given the dry climate, the altitude and the lack of potable water. Currently guests only get 1 complimentary bottle of water, and have to pay for additional water. It would also be great if the pool was heated and free of debris. Otherwise, we had an excellent time at this hotel and highly recommend it.

Hermoso hotel, el personal muy amable, te hacen sentir importante en todo momento. Queda cerca del centro pero lo suficientemente alejado para descansar y relajarte sin bulla . Todos los días caminamos a diferentes horas y nunca tuvimos ningún percance y si no te gusta caminar siempre te ofrecen servicio de taxi. Volvería sin dudarlo
