Relisted! This charming home is full of character and offers everything you need for a relaxing stay on the North Coast. Whether you choose to unwind at the house or explore the stunning local area, you'll find all the comforts of home. It's within walking distance to shops, restaurants, Cal Poly, and downtown Arcata.

The home features three bedrooms and two full baths. The primary bedroom boasts a king-size bed and an en suite bathroom with a full bath and shower, plus a sliding glass door that leads to a small deck perfect for enjoying the outdoors. The other two bedrooms each have queen beds and ample closet space.

The living room offers seating for six, a large TV with Roku and streaming apps for your entertainment, and a gas fireplace for cooler evenings. Two stunning stained glass windows add a touch of Craftsman style charm.

Enjoy formal meals in the dining room, which comfortably seats eight. The fully-equipped kitchen includes a double built-in oven, electric/ceramic cooktop, coffee maker, blender, and plenty of cooking essentials. Plus a dishwasher and garbage disposal for your convenience. We provide coffee beans as well!

After a day of exploring the North Coast, relax in the infrared spa or hot tub. Outdoor seating areas for eating outdoors in the fully fenced yard with a BBQ for those who love to grill.

If you feel like dining out, there are lots of great choices for restaurants and food trucks and they can all be reached on foot.The home also features a binder with some suggestions for food and activities.

Great cozy place, near a lot in Arcata. Full kitchen, relaxing living room, good bed! Was up hear for a conference, and was only blocks away, so very convenient. We also built in a few days for us, so got to see a lot in the area. Easy walk to Arcata Plaza (don't miss Jitter Bean coffee), and even closer was a great grocery store, and the Natural History Museum! We were lucky on the weather (just happened to get nice weather between 2 large storm systems), but if you pack the right clothing, you can enjoy this area in any weather.While we did not use the hot tub or sauna, we will most likely on a future stay when back in the area. Place was easy to book, and off-street parking was great (nice big driveway). If you are looking to stay in a comfortable Craftsman house (with an easy to use gas fireplace for those cool evenings), would highly recommend.

We had a great stay at this 3-bedroom Craftsman home. The house is much bigger than I thought it would be, with 3 big bedrooms, 2 baths, a full iving room and dining room, a little play area, a deck and a garden...as well as a hot tub and sauna! What more could you want? It's walking distance to so many things including the Arcata Plaza as well as campus. It is well stocked with everything one might need and 1 block from a great grocery store. I highly recommend this house and hope to be there many more times myself.

The house is a lovely home in a perfect location to walk to many businesses in Arcata. It’s a quiet neighborhood but with tons of foot traffic walking past. The kitchen is really nice and pretty clean. The hot tub was nice but it has an overwhelming amount of chlorine in it, to the point that I could even be in that room for any length of time. I’m not sure hot tubs need that much chlorine and it was disappointing. The yard is nice with a table and bbq and there’s a room with foosball. I think this would be a great house for a family with the 3 large bedrooms. The reason I can only give this home 4 stars is because the master bed was so uncomfortable and lumpy. I had to sleep at the foot end just to stay asleep. The other 2 beds were way too hard to sleep on at all. But I think the worst part was the couch in living room. It is so worn out that we could not comfortably sit on it without stacking bedroom pillows. I was disappointed to not be able to just sit and relax on the couch. For the price to stay here they definitely need to replace the couch and master bed. I think this house could also benefit greatly from some damp rid. The coast is wet and this house has a distinct musty smell.

We absolutely loved our stay at this adorable home in Arcata! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the impeccable cleanliness and thoughtful layout of the home. It offered just the right amount of shared and private spaces, making it perfect for our group to relax together or enjoy some quiet time.The beds and linens were truly 5-star quality—so comfortable that we all commented on how well we slept. Every detail felt intentionally chosen to create a welcoming and cozy atmosphere.The location couldn’t have been better. Being just a short walk to downtown Arcata, we were able to enjoy shops, restaurants, and local attractions without ever needing to drive.The host was incredibly accommodating, responsive, and clearly takes pride in making this place a special retreat. Unique property and convenient location!

This is such a cool house, very comfy and very unique! Had everything we needed and the location was perfect, lots of places to walk to and easy to drive to multiple state parks and the redwoods. The property manager was very helpful and easy to contact!

What a lovely home and great location. Just a few blocks from the central square of downtown Arcata and a block awa from both gas station and grocery store. Joanna, the host, was easy to contact and quick to respond. Check-in was a breeze. Wish we could have stayed longer. If we had we would have enjoyed even more of the property, like the sauna and hot tub, both of which are mentioned in the listing. But one plus that wasn't listed is the foosball table. Couldn't have been better for our first VRBO experinence. Thanks, Joanna.

She was also kind and provided things that are not usually part of the pkg and left the light on for us when she found out we were arriving late. Perfect location!

Beautiful home in a great area.

This home has beautiful wood work, hardwood floors, and updated bathrooms. The master bed and pillows were super comfortable! (We only used this room) The home was well stocked with linens and paper products.This home sits among beautiful homes in a charming neighborhood. We felt safe walking to many shops and restaurants within a half mile of this home. It is also easy access to the highway to go to Eureka and the redwoods. We would stay again and highly recommend!

Cute Craftsman Home

This two night stay was in the middle of a norcal roadtrip we decided to take with our three kids - ages 11, 13, and 16. It was nice to finally be able to spread out in this house with multiple bedrooms, two bathrooms, and multipe sitting areas. The beds and pillows were comfortable, the kitchen and bathrooms had everything we needed, and the hot tub was already plenty hot and clean. Everything we wanted in a vrbo, we got.. the neighborhood was also perfectly located close to Cal Poly Humboldt. We walked around the campus easily directly from this house. It's also a short walk to the main square, and close to many restaurants, cafes, etc.. The host was very nice too.. I had made a mistake in dates, and when I messaged her last minute, so switched the dates so that I didn't lost money on one of the nights. She also gave good recommendations of things we should do while there (I had asked her).. and restaurants.. She also gifted a few local goodies - chocolate from the nearby Eureka chocolatier, and granola from Los Bagels, a nearby bagel/breakfast place. I really appreciated all of her help and those welcome gifts were just over the top nice.. Thank you!!

Our 3rd Stay at this property

We came back to the Classy Craftsman for our 3rd time. This time unfortunately the home felt run down. There were a few flies in the home , pealing paint in the kitchen , the fireplace didn’t work and there was an over all musty odor. They have replaced the oven which was a lovely upgrade! The location is outstanding. It is a spacious home! Walking distance to downtown and a beautiful market! We loved it enough to come back 3 times just this time the home felt neglected. I feel bad saying these negative things yet I feel it’s important to share the facts as I see them. Nothing is perfect rite? It needs a deep cleaning top to bottom and I’m sure it will be back to 5 stars!

Do not recommend.

This home shouldn’t be occupied. There is terrible smell that overwhelms the entire home. All my belongings now reek and I’m still having trouble breathing after leaving. Asked for a refund due to my concern and it was not even considered by Vacasa. The hot tub is STILL surrounded by mold on the ceiling and on its cover. It also never got hot. The shower(s) floor(s) weren’t cleaned properly. Home needs dusting in some areas and the washer has an odor. Very disappointing. I expected much more based off the reviews! I would have to rate this a 0 out of 5 based off the extreme odor and the mold.

Cozy home away from home

This house is our fave when we come to Arcata. Fits a family of 4 well with gorgeous Craftsman details and perfect location. Hot tub and sauna are the cherry on top. Responsive property management.

Cleanest VRBO I’ve ever stayed at. The home was just plan wonderful. Loved the sauna and hot tub. Comfy beds and sheets. Didn’t won’t to leave.

Perfect House for a Humboldt Trip

I've never left a review for an a house, but we loved the house so much. Lived in Arcata for 5 five years in the early 2000's. Decided to go back with our young kids and this was perfect for us. If permitted (its not), you can fit probably 8+ people in the house for a week to give you a scope of size. Size is larger than anticipated, kitchen is much better than most homes in Arcata, yard was great, playroom was an added bonus that kept the kids entertained. Hot Tub / Sauna if thats your thing. The location is as good as you'll find in Arcata and the house is loaded with charm. You can walk to the restaurants within 5 minutes, 1 minute walk to a grocery store, a few minute walk to 2 movie theaters and your centralized as it relates to driving: 5 min drive to forests, 45 min south to Ave of the Giants, 1 hour east to the river, 45 minutes north to fern canyon, 20 minutes north to Trinidad with amazing beaches and hikes, etc.. When we go back up, we're going to try and prioritize this home again.

Comfortable, convenient and relaxing home

I chose this for its location (convenient to freeway and ease of walking downtown) and the wonderful Craftsman details! I was not disappointed with my choice! (The 60’s kitchen, with upgrade copper drawers, pink oven and matching dishes were a hit too!) The house is well appointed both in furniture and kitchen wares, plus laundry facilities and jacuzzi/sauna. I would definitely consider it again (checking my calendar!😉)

Great place in a lovely base for exploring the Redwoods!

The property was exactly as advertised! It was easy to find, easy to walk to downtown and the shops, restaurants and theaters. Great parking and although it is on a surprisingly busy street on one side the backyard, decks, and rooms all made it feel very private. VACASA was very easy to work with (it was our first time with them) and the property was everything it promised. It is also an easy walk to Humboldt State (which is beautiful by the way) and this is a great base of operations if you want to take day trips into the Redwoods for hiking (which are also beautiful!). I would definitely recommend this property.

Excellent Location to Attend Graduation

We had a great time and the property offered the perfect location for the family in town to celebrate our daughter's graduation from Cal Poly Humbolt. We walked to the grocery store multiple times, to the square to eat and hang out, and even to the graduation ceremony. The house was clean, updated in the right areas and met all our needs. We cooked dinner one night and it had all the basics which is great. Overall, we had a great time.
