The owners were friendly and full of information on local walks and attractions, including where to go to look for otters, birds, and red dear. "We spent a wonderful week in Moriston Cottage despite the rain. Everything was very clean and the cottage is very well equipped, we had everything we needed. There is everything in the kitchen if you want to cook and lots of crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. The beds are very comfortable. There is a lovely enclosed back garden which is good if you have a dog. There are plenty of really good restaurants in walking distance, and a lot more if you want to drive there (Applecross Inn, Gille...

"My stay was unfortunately very short. I arrived late and had to leave early. But I enjoyed every minute of my stay. On arrival the receptionist greated me warmly and arranged a fast dinner. The food was really good and the service great. The room was spacious and cosy and the bed was comfortable. I am happy to recommend this hotel. Only comment I have is: when I arrived it was dark and there was very little light outside. Please install some lamps at the parking area."

"Hotellet er helt igennem top-klasse. Måske næsten en smule "for meget"... (?). Ved middag - kommer man ind i aristokratisk lokale med dybe sofaer og venter på at blive kaldt ind - bord for bord efter at have bestilt middagen... Man tilbydes også en velkomstdrink - og får uden at have bestilt det nogle smagsprøver... De kommer på regningen med 15 £ pr. person! Så vær meget OBS på, hvad man vil... For resten tilbydes man også her KUN en 4 retters menu til 45 £ pr. person + drikkevarer, selv...

"The night staff was very friendly and let us arrange a late arrival. We had a family comfort room and it was great for two adults and two teens. We all slept quite well after a day of ferry, hiking and driving from Isle of Harris. Location was so peaceful. The breakfast was delicious --although our server kept saying how "finnicky" the chef was when we made small requests or alterations. Definitely would stay here again and recommend to anyone!"
