"We are over 70 and we did not have a bathroom in our room. I may have read this, but I don’t recall reading it. We would not have rented this room if I’d known it didn’t have a bathroom in the room. Luckily, the room we would have shared the bathroom with was not occupied, but we still had to go out of our room, utilize the bathroom. "My husband and I stayed here on Sunday evening and had the whole house to ourselves. There were interesting things to explore both inside the house and on the surrounding property. The owners are doing a masterful job of restoring this historically significant place. Our room was comfortable and breakfast was wonderful. We were given a personal tour of the property and saw all that was being done to make this a venue for special events and getaways. We look forward to returning in the future to...

"Quaint old style feel was very nice. The plain wooden floors surprised my partner (she expected tile or carpet), but I liked it. The place was clean and easy to access (note well, Mason is on the 2nd floor, stairs only). I appreciated the tin roof decor of the coffee corner. Not so great was the noisy window air conditioner that pointed right over the bed. "Were it not for a hurricane, the grounds around the main house would be beautiful. The owner/operator family, like other victims, is building back as quickly as possible. The interim condition of the exterior shows what they went through. The unaffected main house and our guest room were well-appointed and very attentive. The breakfast buffet provided to all their guests was extraordinary extravagant, as delicious and varied as you’ll find anywhere! A true 5-star experience."
