"Cogne is simply beautiful. Small enough to be charming, big enough to stay busy and entertained. The Chateau Royal was a great home base. Centrally located, comfortable and we'll equipped. We originally booked two nights but added two more as it was such a great village with so much to do. We hiked, fished, rafted and paraglided plus catching some of the abundant castles and forts in the Sister Valley). This one is a do-over (we'll be back:-)."

"This property is not in the hotel… it’s an apartment, next to the hotel…. But… it’s superb location, right next to slopes, hot shower and warm room. All you need! No cooker, only hob and microwave. Location is amazing and pretty tidy. Would definitely go again with family. (2 adults 2 children). "

"Even though perfect for doorstep skiing, Planibel remains a place I will only recommend to families that are 100% into skiing. My wife who also appreciates a day off the slopes, was not really tempted to, due to the rather soulless sourroundings inside the Planibel. The hotel itself might be nice, but the apartment complex was, at its best, uninteresting.
