The room was in good condition, and the staff was responsive and efficient. We appreciated the welcome text message. We discovered that one of our card keys didn't work. We were able to text the staff who quickly sent a replacement to us. There were several things about the property that we found disappointing. While we appreciate the age of the building, our room was very "drafty" and poorly insulated. You could hardly stand on the bathroom floor it was so cold. There was a heater (steam?) outside our room that sounded like someone banging pots and pans when it turned off. I ultimately resorted to earplugs. That didn't make for very restful nights. Finally, the elevator was inoperable on Sunday (our day to checkout). There was a sign saying it was out of order for "routine maintenance". That caused us to have to drag out luggage down 4 flights of stairs. I'm guessing Sundays are one of the biggest days for checkout, and I'm not sure why routine elevator maintenance would be scheduled during that time.
