"We had a wonderful 3 nights stay. Beautiful surroundings and a lovely setting at the restaurant to enjoy a delicious breakfast. Our room was large with a lovely bathroom. It was quiet and cool so barely needed to use the AC. But what made it such a wonderful place to stay were the amazing staff, who were so friendly and helpful they truly made our stay very special. "The Cottage is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, the host Jan has thought of everything. The private area outside and the pool are fab, pretty garden with lots of flower's and shrubs to attract the birds. Jan sent us useful information on booking and then more on check in which helped us decide how we would spend our time, he gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants and vineyards to visit. Avondrood is well located in beautiful Franschhoek and an easy to walk to restaurants and shops. My wife and I walked in the evening to restaurants in town and felt safe walking back at night.
