Sea spray adventure
The water was beautiful and we really enjoyed the beach at rainbow bay. It’s challenging to get around the settlements because there are very few street signs or signage on businesses. Don’t be afraid to ask around for what you what. We found it to be the easiest.

Best spot EVER
This was our second trip staying on this property. We absolutely love it!! It’s perfect for spending a day exploring the island then grilling and eating on the deck with its fabulous views. There is even a sea turtle that comes by to show off every afternoon! I couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else

Our dream vacation spot
This was the most wonderful and unique rental we’ve ever stayed in. The view was incredible watching all the fish below while eating lunch on the wrap around deck. It was so incredibly clean and organized, very comfortable bed, cable tv everything you need in a kitchen for two. We cooked most our meals. we love to fish and there was fishing available below some days we never left. Highly recommended and we hope to be back again soon!

Adorable cottage right on the water
My husband and I had a great stay. Everything was exactly as pictured. Kitchen was small but we had everything we needed to cook a daily breakfast. Bed was extremely comfortable. Best part was the deck with the million dollar view. Stars were incredible at night also. Great neighborhood to stay in with walking distance to a few restaurants and friendly neighbors to greet whenever we went for walks. Thanks for everything!

Would stay agian!
The view from the deck was amazing, we watched sea turtles, spotted rays and a variety of fish. My only suggestion for improvement would be a bigger coffee pot, the rest was perfect for a few week stay. Thanks for having us!

Perfect!
The cottage was absolutely ideal for my husband and I. Great views, cozy and private. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating throughout our stay (10 days). We found Hatchet Bay to be great little settlement to call home. The only suggestion would be to add a few more ice trays to avoid picking up ice for coolers and cocktails. Thank you for sharing your little slice of Heaven with us!

Wonderful property!
We stayed at Seaspray Cottage over the Christmas holiday and found the property to be exactly what we needed for a relaxing, unplugged vacation. The cottage is very clean and cozy for 2 people with a comfortable bed. The cottage had everything we needed for cooking meals, plus beach towels, beach chairs and a cooler. Water pressure in shower is excellent, too. The view from the deck is stunning and we loved being able to have our coffee and breakfast there each morning. We saw stingrays one morning which was pretty awesome. The grounds are also very pretty and well maintained. The location was perfect for our daily adventures whether going north or south. We also loved being able to walk to some local restaurants/bars. All of the locals in the area are very welcoming and friendly. The detailed guide sent ahead of our trip was invaluable. I highly recommend Seaspray Cottage and will definitely stay here again. We fell in love with Eleuthera and hope to return soon!

Wonderful views
We had a great week at Seay Spray. Got to see Sting Rays passing by almost every day. Several days we saw a turtle swimming by. This was a great base for exploring the island. The cottage was very clean and had everything you need. We really loved having coffee every morning out on the deck enjoying the awesome views. At night we sat outside and marveled at all the stars we could see. We would stay here again when back in Eleuthera.

Sea spray is a gem!
We were looking for a quiet affordable space, centrally located in Eleuthera so we could explore the island, enjoy some snorkeling and beach time and local food. Sea Spray was perfect. the bedding was lush. The kitchenette convenient and well appointed The view from the deck was mesmerizing. We saw eagle rays, tarpon, parrot fish and barracuda swimming by. The water was so clear. A great snorkel and beautiful walk on a nice quiet beach was just a 100 yds away. We found awesome restaurants with amazing views just minutes away. We will definitely be back.

Spectacular Views
This is an awesome place to stay with your significant other. The views are amazing to wake up too! Close to some beaches. Cottage has what you need. Locals are great to talk too. Just remember you are on Eleuthera so you are on island time.

Beautiful cottage and views
Perfect place for our honeymoon week. We knew what to expect on Eleuthra from friends that have also travelled. The trip planner was also very helpful. The cottage had good AC and all appliances worked for our needs. I loved breakfasts on the deck before going out to explore the island everyday. The outdoor shower was awesome and private. Definitely recommend!

Great Stay
My wife and I stayed at Seaspray for over a week. The check in process was extremely easy and hosts were very responsive over email. The rental was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The views off the front deck was AMAZING. The location was very convenient and short drive to many beaches and points of interest. Overall, we would definitely stay here again!

I love this place!
I love the view from the deck, I love how quiet is there, the stars are gorgeous at night! They recently renovated the property since I’ve been here last and it looks great. The family that lives here is very hospitable and nice. I love exploring the island and it’s beaches. I had a great time, thank you! Also the outdoor shower is a great touch. Would love to come back!

GREAT OCEAN FRONT STAY
Wow...what a view from anywhere in and out of the cottage. Believe me, the cottage is perfect in so many ways. It's not huge, but has everything you want/need for a great vacation spot. We love snorkeling and it was great from right out front of the cottage--you have to walk 3 minutes to a sandy beach and go in from that location ..We are adventurous and went snorkeling there at night. It was awesome, turtles/crabs/lobsters. During the day we saw a big sting ray along with many fish . The a/c is a minisplit--works great. The refrigerator works great and has plenty of room including a big freezer..Bathroom was great with a big shower.. If the wind is blowing over 15 mph you may feel the waves hitting the rock formation where the cottage sits. Great hospitality and one great place to stay. The owners left a snorkeling book with so many great spots to visit on the island--that book is awesome. .

A little slice of paradise...
This property was everything and more as advertised. Felt like an ocean liner!
This newly renovated, extremely clean, comfortable cottage with a king-size bed felt like we had a room five stories high on the cruise ship. Our cottage was about 80 feet up above the ocean that was built on a solid stone cliff. The sound of the ocean never stopped day or night and helped us drift off to deep sleep. The sun and moon rising in the east were very inspiring. Checking in and out was trouble-free.

AMAZING!!!
I dont know where to begin because there are too many things about SeaSpray that makes it wonderful! It was recently renovated and we were lucky enough to use it after the renovation. We originally rented the place before it was done based on the cleanliness, location along with the wonderful view! It exceeded our expectation! Sitting on the deck was like being on a cruise ship deck but with way better views! The view of the stars at night was the best! The people of Eleuthera are the kindest and very helpful. Nicole who is one of the owners lives on the property and is their to help! We've been to alot of islands and this place is by far the most beautiful and i felt very safe there. The house was cozy and very clean. Everything we needed was there. The only thing we didn't like was the loud intrusive music coming from the bar across the bay. We wanted to yell "Turn it down!"

My wife and I had such a great time staying here. We went snorkeling right in front of our cottage and saw tons of fish and a stingray. It's in a great little town, with few tourists around. Everyone there is so nice. It was exactly what we were looking for. We will definitely be back.

Great Home Base
With a beautiful and private view of the sea this place was amazing. There are some great places to explore not far both north and south from the town of hatchet bay/ Alice town. My girlfriend and I truly loved it.

Wonderful place just as described!
My wife and I just got back from sea spray cottage for our 15 year anniversary and it was just amazing to say the least. The views from the deck are just as described and more and the snorkeling just below was amazing, within seconds of us first getting in the water we saw an awesome sting ray. Nicole is so amazing and is on site for any questions or recommendations you may need from going out to eat or beaches to go see. They have 2 beach chairs and cooler ready for your beach needs. You must go see Daniel at twin brothers he’s never without a smile and the food and drinks are delicious (get the spicy wings, we had them 3 times). Everyone in hatchet bay and the island as far as that goes are so nice and friendly. There are so many cool beaches and places to go within 30 minutes of the cottage. A few of our favorites.. unca jeans in gregory town, daddy Joe’s by glass window bridge (go across the street and follow the road to an amazing beach full of of sand dollars and star fish), can’t remember the name of the bar but on north side of glass windows bridge is a tiki hut bar with amazing sunsets. And visit Nicole’s friend at D jays in James cistern for lunch and also another place next to Leo’s sunset bar and grill that serves an amazing conch salad that they literally go into the sea to get the conch for it. The information sheet that Maribyles gives you once you book is amazing and has so much information. All in all there isn’t enough space for us to describe how beautiful this place is and we can’t wait to go back and take our kids to enjoy this paradise. Thank you Nicole, Jenna, and Cecil for letting us enjoy your place, there are not enough stars to give you!! ( just advice and has nothing to do with sea spray which is actually better than than most places due to the breeze on the deck, but pick you up a “bug candle” at local grocery store to light while you are outside). Again nothing to do with here it just is what it is on the island anywhere being tropic this is just advice which maribyles tells you in her info packet. Thank you all again until the next time!!! Private cottage
If you're looking for a Bahamian getaway that's off the beaten path, this is it. Perched on the water's edge, the deck offers a spectacular, front row seat of the Milky Way, the planets in our solar system, and shooting stars at no extra cost. Limited options for dining due to Covid and the time of year (August) in Hatchet Bay but Harbor Island and Governors Harbor are a short drive away.

Wonderful stay, amazing view
I absolutely loved my stay. The cottage is small but right on a cliff overlooking gorgeous water and I slept with the windows open and the waves lulling me to sleep. I loved exploring the island, very chill, not overly developed, just tiny towns and lots of beaches to explore. It was exactly what I was looking for and I appreciated the packet they wrote so you know what you’re getting into. I loved being able to find a beach with little to zero other people. My stay was amazing and really relaxed me and helped me release some of the stress of the last year plus.

Just What We Needed
This small cottage was exactly as described. It was certainly a budget-friendly way to stay on the island of Eleuthra. The views were absolutely amazing! The local hosts were fantastic and so friendly. We traveled the island from tip-to-tip, in search of adventure and we definitely found it. I would describe this a very minimalist-type rental, which is exactly as was described, so we were not surprised by that.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay! Everything was exactly as described. The view was AMAZING! Exactly the getaway we needed. Kitchen was small (similar in size to a small camper). Perfect for just the two of us. Fresh fish and amazing views everyday. Highly recommend this rental!

Wonderful ocean views right from the front porch
Property is exactly as described - small (intimate) cottage located within driving distance of everything on the island. Several really wonderful local restaurants and a few nice beaches within 10 or 15 minutes drive and others quite a bit further. Nicole was wonderful as a host who lives in another house on the property. Enjoyed our stay a lot!

Wonderful island/host/cottage
Everything here was wonderful. We came for a week long getaway and loved the friendliness of the people in Eleuthera, the water and endless secluded beaches, and the experiences we shared here. The cottage is small but neat and with amazing views of the Carribbean. I doubt they can be best anywhere on the island. The sounds of the water and views of the stars at night were amazing. We watched the sunrise from the deck every morning and loved it. The kitchen is small with only a sink and a two burner hot plate, but for two crafty people we made it work. Ate seafood we harvested ourselves and cooked 90% of our meals this week. The carribean off the cliffs beside the cottage isn't exactly easy to access. It's a tough walk down rocks to get there, not for the faint of heart or barefoot. The nearby beach is easy to access but we were hoping to easily snorkel the rocks beneath the cottage and had trouble. Only real problem was that no where in our trip planner or correspondence with our hosts did we learn that the water on Eleuthera isn't potable. I drank probably a few gallons of it before my girlfriend convinced me that the slightly brown color probably wasn't good. I walked to Cecil's to ask and he indeed confirmed no one drinks the water but buys it instead. This would've been good to know upfront. Even this isn't a major complaint, since no one got sick. The hosts were great though and we loved out experience!

Fantastic property. Nicole and Cecil were very accommodating. Cottage was clean, quiet and relaxing. Loved Hatchet Bay and the entire island. Beach after beach and amazing people.

Breathtaking view
Property very well described. Not big but clean and quaint. Nice little kitchenette for coffee and eggs in the morning. Perfect size for my wife and I for a short stay. Amazing view from deck that overlooks the Caribbean. I recommend printing the guide the host sends with you, it has alot of information about the island. Hatchet bay was a great location with a rental car. No wifi in the cottage but could find some on location and nearby businesses. We used the cooler and beach chairs provided daily. Mattress was firm for sure. All in all a great property which highlighted our fantastic vacation.

Incredible adventure!
My husband and I had an awesome experience staying at Sea Spray cottage! The view was amazing and everything was just as described. The stars at night and the crystal clear water were incredible from the deck! Cecil was there to answer any questions we had and to address any issues. Eleuthera itself is one of the most beautiful places we have ever been! So many natural wonders all in one place! And the shells!!! Our only complaint is that we ran out of time before we could see everything! Can’t wait to come back!

Cozy little cottage with a wonderful view
Unfortunately we only had two days to enjoy this place but we enjoyed it a lot. Communication and organisation in preparation of our trip was perfect and thanks to Marielbys' information material we managed to book a very nice daytrip to the pigs, too. The cottage is small but provides you with the essential equipment (there is a fridge, coffee machine, toaster, hotplate). It's very clean and tidy and a cozy place to stay for 2. Listening to the waves in the evenings let us fall asleep immediately. The deck is a great place to watch sunrise or enjoy a Kalik (bahamian beer) during sunset.

Nice but,
Good location but not as private as the pictures implied. VERY small. The bed was too small and too hard for both of us so we brought an air mattress, thank God. Also would have liked a change of sheets and towels half way through. But the sunrises and sunsets from that wonderful deck made up for the missing parts. A good location to start from to see north and south Eleuthera. Definitely have the prime rib at the Rainbow Inn on Tuesday, which is only five minutes drive south.

Hi Jeffrey, Glad you had a good time, thanks for your 4 star review, but a bit surprised to hear of some of your complaints. My husband and Nicole and Cecil checked on you during your stay more than once and you guys had indicated everything was fine. Sorry the bed was not to your liking, but bedding is up to the sleeper, case in point, some people say that bed is too soft and you say too hard. We could have offered fresh linens, but you never asked. Keep in mind this is not a hotel with daily maid service. We do mention our cottage is one of a few cottages on a 2 acres property and the photos and description describe the size. Glad you loved the views from the deck. Marielbys.

Awesome experience
The Sea Spray cottage was exactly what we needed for a relaxing time on our vacation and celebrating our anniversary. The proximity to the water provided unobstructed views of the beautiful blue waters, as well as views of both sunrises and sunsets. We saw many other places from resorts to homes, and wouldn't trade places with any of them. None other could provide the total experience we had. We were most pleased with the extras provided -- chaise longues as well as a table and chair on the deck, beach chairs, and a cooler to enhance our enjoyment, plus motion-detector outside lighting to guide us when returning after dark from a daily adventure. We were contacted to make sure our needs were met (they were) and knew we could contact someone if necessary. Especially helpful was the trip planner provided to us to prepare for our stay. It was complete and full of tips and ideas of what to do and where to go. A recent reviewer commented that the little village is "a bit rundown," While true, it was no different than any other village or settlement in the Bahamas. Dunmore Town on Harbour Island, with its high-end resorts, also has areas which are "a bit rundown." This is typical of much of the Caribbean and part of the experience. But the greater experience is looking past those conditions, meeting and talking to the people. Everyone we met, whether locals or tourists, was genuinely friendly and helpful, which contributed to a feeling of happiness and comfort. We never felt uncomfortable or apprehensive at any place or at any time, day or night. We miss it already.
