The Sea Spray cottage was exactly what we needed for a relaxing time on our vacation and celebrating our anniversary. The proximity to the water provided unobstructed views of the beautiful blue waters, as well as views of both sunrises and sunsets. We saw many other places from resorts to homes, and wouldn't trade places with any of them. None other could provide the total experience we had.
We were most pleased with the extras provided -- chaise longues as well as a table and chair on the deck, beach chairs, and a cooler to enhance our enjoyment, plus motion-detector outside lighting to guide us when returning after dark from a daily adventure. We were contacted to make sure our needs were met (they were) and knew we could contact someone if necessary.
Especially helpful was the trip planner provided to us to prepare for our stay. It was complete and full of tips and ideas of what to do and where to go.
A recent reviewer commented that the little village is "a bit rundown," While true, it was no different than any other village or settlement in the Bahamas. Dunmore Town on Harbour Island, with its high-end resorts, also has areas which are "a bit rundown." This is typical of much of the Caribbean and part of the experience. But the greater experience is looking past those conditions, meeting and talking to the people. Everyone we met, whether locals or tourists, was genuinely friendly and helpful, which contributed to a feeling of happiness and comfort. We never felt uncomfortable or apprehensive at any place or at any time, day or night.
We miss it already.
