"The property is in an absolutely beautiful setting. In the morning, we watched squirrels, rabbits, and eagles around the lake from the balcony. We were there off-season, so we couldn't find a restaurant open. Luckily, the "breakfast" the hosts left for us in the room was so generous, we were able to eat it for dinner and still have enough left over for breakfast the next day!!"

"The Shack Inn on the Homer spit was a great place to stay. I was very comfortable staying and the unit that I stayed in was spacious and tastefully done. It was clean and in a great location in order to experience the Homer spit!"

Although I do recommend changing your picture on Expedia to something else so people don’t think they are getting that cute mini cabin(false advertising), one other thing I have to mention is the check out time! Understandable that it’s 10 am, but when there’s no employees on site to assist with minor issues (we left a bag in the room and had to card/break in) then there’s no need to have it be at 10am. "I had to attend meetings nearby so the location was excellent. It worked fine for my needs and the bed was comfortable and good shower."

"The Fairview is ALWAYS a good time and we were so happy to see rooms open to stay in. Everything was clean and easy to access. It is NOT a place to stay if you are hoping to rest or get good sleep, and unfortunately we went to bed around 10pm. The free earplugs are necessary :)"
