The staff really made the stay as good as it could have been. Trevor was so friendly and kind! The other staff were too but Trevor stood out. The pool and hottub are outdoor and not offered year round so I was sad about the amenities being less than advertised. The building itself is in very poor condition and honestly I was shocked for an IHG hotel to be in such bad shape. Wear shows all over the building, but our first room had a broken faucet mechanism so the water only ran as a bath with no shower. The staff did great about getting us another room easily though. Our second room had everything functioning but stains on the carpet and the room was so humid it felt like sleeping on wet sheets. We were able to get an additional blanket from staff easily, but the added blanket had a huge yellow stain on it. At this point we stopped bothering staff as we could tell it wasn't their fault these issues kept presenting themselves. We put towels over the bed and sheets and it was comfortable enough for one night of sleep. We would not stay here again, but the staff at least did their best to make it through one night. I'd encourage IHG to invest money in updating this building.
