"Extremelig good value for the money"

"A little far away from the action, but well connected via orange metro line 7. Everything right at hand - supermarket, restaurants etc. We stayed in a 2 floor family room and it was perfect for the 4 of us. We could cook a little bit and we used the laundry service on the 2nd floor to wash and dry our clothes. Breakfast buffet was very good - we stayed for 6 nights and didn’t get tired of the content. And the price was amazing compared to what other hotels around Bund would cost. "

"Very nice place with a clear sense of detail. We opted for the Deluxe room — spacious, beautifully decorated, and with a big bathtub and a super-size bed. Breakfast was very Chinese/Asian-oriented, and after a few days we decided to skip it — the coffee was terrible, and simple Western items like cheese or granola were missing. The rest of the buffet looked fine, just not to our taste for the morning. Staff were friendly in a typically Chinese way — not many smiles, but attentive and efficient...

"Great hotel in 192 style, (The North Building) so you get a sence of how Shanhai was in the 1920-30 . It is a great location close to the old historic french area and only 5 minutes from the Metro, so you can be at the Nanjing Road within 15 minutes. Ask for a room at the front side."

"We are traveling a lot all over the world staying in many different kinds of hotels and apartments. This was our 4th hotel on this trip (Fuzhou Juchunyuan Yushan Hotel, -Meiyuan Hotel, Fuzhou - Wuyishan Tianxin Mingyue Tea Mountain Villa, Wuyishan). All other hotels were less than half the price of Ascott so we had expectations but still knowing that prices in Shanghai is higher than other cities.
