Hotel i Yamanakaonsen Kajikamachi, Kaga

"Nice staff, great restaurant on site and great location. The hotel is a little dated but very clean and well maintained"

"Such a beautiful Ryokan with the most beautiful view. The rooms are big and authentic. The staff is very helpful. We had to get used to that everything needs to be timed. What time you are eating breakfast, what time would you have your room cleaned, what time should we make your bed. We are not used to have scheduled stays like that, but we understand that it sometimes can be necessary. Otherwise great food, beautiful onsens. Overall a good experience :-)"

"Fantastic hotel, fantastic food, fantastic staff. Highly recommended, would love to return!"

"Nice onsen with great view from our room"

"Our room was spacious and very clean. The private onsen was large and very comfortable, looking out over the river but completely private. We had the kaiseki dinner each night which was elaborate and delicious. The town of Yamanaka is very pretty with fun row of shops specialising in lacquer wear and pottery, some cafes, the usual restaurants and a big public men's and women's bath, along with a beautiful walk in the gorge along the river. All of this is within 5-15 minutes walk of the hotel....

"Absolutely amazing experience staying at this property. It was so beautiful, the meals were a feast for both the eyes and the mouth and the service was unmatched."

"We had such a wonderful stay! Justine and Mona were incredible hosts – they carefully explained everything to us in detail and even taught us about the food and onsen etiquette. Their kindness and attention made us feel so welcome. We have honestly never experienced such a high level of service before, not only from Justine and Mona but from the entire staff. It was beyond what we are used to, and it made our stay both relaxing and peaceful. The rooms were amazing, giving us a true sense of...

"best house keeper"

"Virkelig god spa og afslappende omgivelser. Brug i øvrigt Trip Advisor og find Kame Sushi nede i byen (ca 10 min gang). Virkelig virkelig godt!! :)"

"Really the trip was spoiled from the first moment by poor management. I arrived around 2pm, was checked in and told my room was ready, but per hotel policy I would have to wait until 3pm to enter. From about 2:30 I noticed a group of women in kimonos lined up straight like soldiers and forced to stand there until close to 3pm, when it became their job to take me to my room. It was giving managerial power trip. Perhaps some guests would appreciate this pomp and circumstance, but I only felt...
