We had the best time

This was a very good location and a beautiful overall property with a nice pool and private beach access. It felt secluded but was still close to everything and we would definitely visit again.

nice size, 3 bedroom perfect,Great floor for visibility of beach., Totally inappropriate decor. Furniture not beach like and so BIG Needs undated in bath and flooring. Carpeting is a no no in my impression of a beach front rental

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Despite the riptide, our family enjoyed our mini-vacation at Wrightsville. The Michael condo was comfy and the view was spectacular. Slats were missing from the blinds in the master bedroom, so we had to improvise by hanging a sheet so we wouldn't wake up too early. The unit is showing its age, but nothing that kept us from enjoying it. We'd stay there again.

Wonderful!

Such a comfortable place to stay!! We loved every minute and will be back for sure! Well stocked with kitchen tools, my only recommendation is to bring your own coffee maker. The one they had there was not ready for prime time, and there were no coffee filters, which you wouldn't typically bring because the type needed is different depending on the style of the machine. I suggest updating the photo to show there are only two patio chairs, but they do have some extra foldable chairs in the closet that were helpful! The beds were so comfy, and great pillows - such a nice place!!!

Fantastic location, overall nice place but needs some updates/cleanliness improvement

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The view is wonderful (can watch the sun and full moon rise over the water!) and the porch is fantastic. However, there are some needed updates. When we tried to do a load of laundry, our clothes came out covered in sand every time (and we didn't put the sand in there) and there were even rust stains from the rusted washer drum so the washing machine really needs replacing. Also, the shower doors had disgusting black mold all around the bottom seams and behind the handles. So the shower doors also need replacing. Everything else was great and if those two things were updated we would stay there again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we first arrived the shower knob in the master bathroom was sitting on the sink. We immediately called and reported the issue. A technician arrived a few hours later and replaced the shower knob. Also we were aware we needed paper towels and other paper products. However we were surprised the bathrooms only had a half of a roll in each. With 8 women, we easily ran out the first day. We just assumed housekeeping would ensure there was a new roll in each bathroom. (The kitchen had paper towels and cleaning products which was great)The bathrooms should be deep cleaned. There is a lot of mold in both bathrooms especially in the tub/shower and on the shower doors. The sink in master bathroom has a lot of dirt and grime in and around it. The carpet is in dire need of a cleaning. There are stains and spots all over. The balcony furniture is extremely outdated and falling apart. The pictures of the balcony furniture is not a true depiction of what is in the unit. There are two chairs at the table and one lounger. The cushions are very old and dirty. I remember reading a review last year and someone mentioned the same thing about the balcony furniture. Overall the condo is very nice, the appliances worked, the linens were clean and the tv worked. I feel with a good deep clean and updated balcony furniture this unit would definitely be a 5 star. Since the main issues are cosmetic this can easily be corrected.

Beautiful beachfront location, nice complex, nice pool. Unit and furnishings as depicted in photos except deck furniture (missing chairs). We brought our own folding chairs so it was not a problem.

Vacationer Beware - Will Not Rent Again

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Hard to be succinct with all the things I need to comment on, but the condensed version is: "vacationer beware". We stayed in the Michael unit in August 2021 and during on ongoing pandemic, we'd expect the unit to have been cleaner. Our bathroom had sand and dirt in the shower upon arrival, there were toothpaste and water spots on/in the bathroom sink and countertop and mirror in the master bath. The bath mats appeared to be years old. The linens for the bed (though delivered in plastic wrap by an external vendor) were worn and stained, but smelled heavily of bleach. The water supply to this unit STINKS of rotten eggs. We had to wash our clothes when we got home about 3 cycles to get the smell out. The washer/dryer in the unit didn't help with that issue. The kitchen was poorly stocked and lacking in basic quality utensils and wares needed to cook. We literally had to go to Harris Teeter and buy a new skillet, for example. The utensils are useless and in poor shape. The steak knives were bent on the tips. The plastic whisk wouldn't even beat an egg - very frustrating. Upon arrival, the instructions are lacking in exactly how to access your unit; same for pool and beach access. We had to ask other residents. I will say that while every measure is taken to ensure security (in terms of access codes, etc.) it is overkill. You need a different code for every foyer/entry, beach access, gate, etc. It was not clear where the dumpster was initially, or how to dispose of trash/recycling. Last but certainly not least, PLEASE update this unit! The aesthetic is really a mood killer at the beach with the dark, heavy and oversized furniture circa 1992. When it rains all week and you have to stare at it, it's just depressing. And plastic on the dining room chairs? Come on. You can see from the pics online that it is outdated, but you assume clean, at least. This time, old actually meant old and dirty. Very disappointing to pay $3600 a week for this place.

We found one immediately so didn’t spend too much time there but it was a wonderful get away from all of the work of moving to a new place after 21 years in New England. Only drawbacks were the uncomfortable/ very old couch in the living rm and blinds that were bent and broken. Only two chairs for eating on the deck. Beds comfortable . Pots and pans need upgrading. But, we didn’t do much cooking there and purchased a wok which worked nicely. .Great location, two car carport, beautiful sandy beach.

We cooked several times, there were enough kitchen items to meet our cooking needs. Easy access to the Beach and Pool. For the pool, get off on the first floor. We live in Florida where ceiling fans are normal, no ceiling fans in the bedrooms. We had to adjust the Air down to accommodate. I also must have missed there would be no beach towels. Bring beach towels. You may want to consider keeping some board games there for rainy days.

Needs attention

This property should not be on the rental market until it gets some much needed attention. Blinds are falling off the windows, broken chairs, dirty upholstery, worn out cushions and all very outdated. The rental company service was not good either. Gave us a wrong door code and no code for one door. Told us we had to come to the office to get parking passes but didn’t need them this time of year. The views and location are great but would not rent again.

Reviewer Comments: We have stayed in Duneridge for the past 15 years and love the complex, location, privacy and overall beach access/views. Over the years we have learned to only rent on floors 3 or 4 as the lower units have an obstructed beach view because of the dunes. The ocean facing deck is one of our favorite features of Duneridge units. There have been some nice updates to the bldg lobby/stairwells and landing areas that really make a difference. As for this unit, it was located in bldg 2 on the 3rd floor. The updated keypad (no physical key) was nice and easy to use. The rest of the unit was disappointing. Did everything work? Yes. But this place has not been updated in years, maybe since original owners. The kitchen is outdated and equipped with only the basic needs. The furniture throughout the unit is massive (too big/dark for the space), the lighting is old/dim, the beds creak and the mattresses are very uncomfortable. The bathrooms are also original, with peeling wallpaper and stained sinks. The deck furniture and cushions was broken, sagging and dirty. We didn’t come to WB to stay inside, so while we disliked the decor (personal preference), we didn’t let it ruin our trip.Overall, we love WB, the access/views available at Duneridge, but would not rent this unit again unless it was the only option.
