Getaway trip
We stayed here for a quick getaway to visit home and visit grandparents gravesite nearby, Cabin was clean and had the essentials needed. Washer and dryer was a plus! Cabin was peaceful and secluded -Just what we needed. We bought an Air mattress to sleep on, beds were new I believe, just wasn’t comfortable to us. But that’s no fault of the owners. Close to Indian Creek Reservoir, which was convenient. Even though fishing wasn’t good while we were here. Beautiful lake :) if you need a little donut for breakfast-visit the donut shop-you’ll most likely meet the Mayor. He was very nice! Hunts brothers pizza at gas station was convenient and good after being on lake for day. Alexandria is close for dinner options. Outlaw BBQ was delicious and reasonable. Fiery Crab was AMAZING our last nights dinner. We will definitely be back. Thank you for an amazing stay. Candace and her husband were very helpful and accommodating :)

Great Location / Misrepresented with Property Description
Kitchen had only two plates that did not match, only one hi-ball glass, three mismatched coffee mugs. Advertised as no pets, but the couch smelled like a wet dog and there was dog hair. On the porch was a dog watering bowl and a dog toy was left in the yard. The outdoor firepit was not useable as it was completely full of ashes mud and trash cigarette butts. No swing exists as in the pictures. The location is fantastic, but the property needs some TLC and updating. It would be perfect if it was truly as it was described, and it could be redeemed with a little time and small amount of money to bring it back to it's original standard.

I greatly apologize. I vacuum couch, under cushions, and cabin after everyone leaves. I have smelled and do not smell anything on couch. Also I checked plates and there is 6 plates, 4 bowls, saucers, 2 wine glasses, pop corn cups, small glass, and 3 coffee cups. We aim for everyone to have a great stay and everything they need. There is 2 chairs to sit around fire. It may have been wet at the time but plenty have used since. The days before your stay it rained a lot so unfortunately I’m sure the fire pit was wet and all. Sorry you had a bad stay

Good Stay!
Private & Nicely decorated cabin. Very responsive hosts when water pipes froze in very unusual cold period. Fixed that day. The lack of chairs for the kitchen table was inconvenient.

Beautiful Gem in the woods
This place was perfect it was our second stay with Miss Candace and first time in this cabin. It was so cozy and nice clean and rustic exactly what we were looking for! The area is absolutely amazing tucked off in the woods minutes from the lake! for a real cabin experience but just minutes from town very private and quiet! We will be back! Thankyou so much! We had a blast!

Another tranquil weekend in La
The property is exceptional if you want to get away from hustle-bustle of life. It is so very peaceful, yet close proximity to a small and a large town. People are so very friendly. Host are close by but never intrusive.

Nice Cozy Cabin
Very very nice. We enjoyed it. Nice cabin & pretty woods. Few tips: The front BR mattress sags way too much, I don’t think the “ city scape” pictures go with the rustic theme, need a shower mat(so glad we brought ours, but forgot it), mat in front of sink is a trip hazard, & maybe firewood should be protected from rain. Thanks!

We are so happy at the cabin that we booked it 3 times already in 5 months. It’s tucked away privately in the woods with another one nearby but not too close . We met the owners this time and we’re glad we did. They are super great host and we can’t wait to go again!

RELAXING AND COZY
The property grounds is incredibly private, although you are minutes away from cities. The cabin is heavily booked according to the online calendar; therefore, it isn't as clean as when we first began using it 2 years ago. Needs a new mattress and the sofa needs cleaning or replaced. The entire cabin needs a deep cleaning. This was our 3rd stay so we do like it..

This was a great little cabin but the furniture needs an upgrade. Beds were not comfortable and couch wasn’t either. Also the a/c unit was extremely noisy on the outside and sounded like it was about to break any minute but it kept it cool inside. Owner may want to get it checked very soon though.

I apologize for the beds. We have mattress covers on beds for cushion and comfort. The a/c unit was replaced last spring so we will have that checked. I appreciate you letting me know.

Never disappoints
My little family has been staying here at least once a year since my boys were probably 3, 5, and 7. They are now 11, 13, and 15. We absolutely love it. It is a quiet getaway where we can enjoy nature, cook outside as a family, relax, play games, watch movies. The cabin has all the amenities needed including a washer and dryer. It is super close to Indian Creek for a day at the beach. It is also close to Alexandria. In the past, we've taken the kids to the Kids Museum or to see a movie. This time we went to the Rockinon the Red Independence Day celebration and enjoyed the music and food then watched the fireworks over the river. We always have one meal at Mi Tierra restaurant in forest hill. The owners are very welcoming and friendly and their dogs are adorable!

SERENITY
This was our second stay at this property. The proprietor and husband were absolutely wonderful, ensuring our needs were met, yet giving us privacy. The property is located in a serene, very woodsy environment, but within walking distance to town. There are a couple of small stores, one with a great deli. Additionally, Indian Creek, a beautiful, very large camping/boating area is only a couple of miles away. We will definitely reserve this property again.

This is a beautiful property located in a beautiful place!! It was comfortable and quaint. The kitchen was perfect for what I needed and the amenities were spot on. Only complaint I have is the lights in the bathroom weren’t as bright as I would have liked for applying makeup but overall I would chose this property again without hesitation!! Highly recommended!!

property clean, household items well stocked.. Very quiet location.
My wife and I enjoyed our stay. The cabin was very clean and had all the amenities necessary to make us comfortable. We do think there could be a small table and some chairs in the living room area near the kitchen area. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and on the outside swing and using the firepit. We rwill recommend this cabin to our family and friends.

So glad you enjoyed! The other cabin has regular couch instead of sectional and small table for future stays. I do plan on adding small table to this one and switching tv stand out eventually also. Come back and stay again!

Very Cozy, clean and close to trails and national forest
Relaxing and had a swing by campfire under the stars and went kayaking and fishing some days.. You can hike as well.. Everything is nearby..Loved it and would highly recommend this beautiful cabin … Had everything that we needed ..All we had to do is buy food to cook ..Awesome!!!

Great weekend getaway and close to the park
This is a great weekend getaway spot. Will definitely be returning for couple only weekends with the Hubby and weekends for the kids. There’s nothing like having peace and quiet of country and the comforts of home. There’s books, games, cable tv and internet service if you need those. PS the couch is comfy.

The cabin is in a great location, access to lake and a Dollar General near by. The cabin is clean, has washer/dryer, plenty of room, TV with great reception, grill, full kitchen, fire pit outside, double parking spot with room for boat, excellent cabin construction with clean, new, sound attractive construction and decor. The area and people make your stay very pleasant.

We enjoyed our stay in the cabin. Peaceful, great location. Close to hiking trails. Only 15 minutes from Alexandria. We would recommend a more comfortable mattress for the beds and a more comfortable sofa.

This cabin was perfect for our visit to the area! The host was quick to respond to questions and assist me with information about Indian Creek. It is a very short drive to Indian Creek and about 15 minutes to Alexandria. We thought it was the best of both worlds....cabin in the woods with city conveniences. We would definitely stay again!

PEACEFUL GETAWAY
The property was absolutely lovely. It was located near a small town with a grocery store within walking distance. The cabin felt private, even though there were other houses and another cabin nearby. We used the fire pit a great deal. Owner provided a large stack of dry, easy to start firewood for us. The inside of the cabin was absolutely beautiful. High ceilings with light pine paneling gave it an open feeling. The only improvement I can think of is, we didn't have a dining table which we needed since we hosted some family members for dinner. Also, we have T-Mobile and couldn't get phone service. Our phones are pretty old so this may not be an issue for others. I highly recommend this location and will definitely rent it again in the future.

Peaceful Retreat
Beds were comfortable and it was a nice, quiet place to rest up. We enjoyed roasting marshmallows outside and appreciated the gated access. A drive through safari is about 25 minutes away and it was lots of fun. Alexandria Zoo is close by and a great place to spend a 2-3 hour visit. We’ll definitely be back ♥️

Beautiful and quaint little cabin. It was very relaxing!
My only complaint is it needed more seating on the front porch. The gas grill came in very handy! Loved the swing and fire pit!
