Welcome to lake life at Tall Pines Retreat! Nestled under the tall Georgia pines, this 3 bed, 2 bath cottage on beautiful Lake Allatoona is back on the rental market after a change in ownership in June 2025. The previous listing for this very popular rental featured more than 50 five-star reviews, and the cottage has been beautifully updated with all new bedding, linens & towels; refreshed dishes and kitchenware; fun lake décor; new outdoor furniture and exterior paint. We are located in Woodstock which is 15 miles from LakePoint Sports Complex in Cartersville and 25 miles north of Mercedes Benz Stadium/FIFA World Cup tournament.


The spacious primary bedroom features a king-sized bed, ceiling fan, and a private bathroom. The bathroom has a combo tub/shower with updated tile. The two guest rooms each have one queen bed, ceiling fan and share a bathroom. The guest bathroom features dual shower heads and updated tile. Both bathrooms are supplied with spa quality shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion.

A large laundry room with lake views is adjacent to the primary bathroom. Laundry supplies are provided as well as 2 laundry baskets, a drying rack, hangers, clothes pins, steamer and iron/ironing board.

The gourmet kitchen boasts an oversized island, table with seating for 8, Wolf gas range with double oven, pot filler, wet bar and separate beverage fridge, Beast blender for individual smoothies, Cuisinart individual coffee maker, air fryer, toaster oven, slow cooker, and more! You will find all the pots/pans, skillets, cookware, utensils, grill tools and serving dishes needed to prepare and serve a large meal. We provide starter coffee pods, sugar, creamer, spices, paper products, trash bags, and dish/dishwasher soap.

The light-filled great room features built-in shelving, cabinets and a desk; a large plush sectional; leather chair; oversized bean bag and cable TV. If rain dampens your outdoor plans, grab a book from our library, put a puzzle together, or play one of our numerous board and card games.

The expansive screened back porch offers a full second living space with a picnic table that seats 8, comfortable outdoor furniture, TV, and porch swing. This is the perfect spot for dining al fresco, enjoying the cool breezes & peaceful view of the lake, watching college football or even sneaking in a nap!

The adjacent uncovered deck has a gas grill, outdoor shower and rocking chairs for enjoying the sunrise or sunset over the lake. The large stone front porch offers 2 Adirondack chairs and a table for four, which is perfect for your morning coffee and watching the numerous deer who gather in the side yard.

The outdoor amenities are truly what make Tall Pines Retreat special! Located in a peaceful no-wake zone at the end of the cove in Owl Creek, this private retreat offers serene lake frontage, amazing views, short hiking trail, and quick access to deep water for all your aquatic adventures. Kayaks, pool floats, a stand-up paddle board, life jackets, oversized lake towels, large tote bag and soft side cooler are provided for your use. We also have corn hole boards and a bocce set for friendly competitions.

A short walk down a gently sloping trail in the back yard leads to a private, covered dock with electricity and boat slip (no lift). The slip can accommodate a boat up to 24’. Boats and jet skis can be rented at Little River Marina (Canton, GA) or Victoria Harbour Marina (Woodstock, GA).

Bringing your own boat? The closest public boat launch is at Cherokee Mills Park, which is 5 minutes from the cottage. Our driveway can easily accommodate a boat trailer plus 3-4 other vehicles depending on size.

At the end of the day, relax around the firepit reliving the day’s highlights and making memories that will last a lifetime. Be sure to grab supplies for S’mores at the grocery store to fill up our S’mores Caddy, complete with long roasting forks.

We are very kid friendly with a pack’n’play, high chair, booster seat, Wheat Straw BPA free dinner sets, Nuk sippy cups & bathroom step stool all available at no extra fee.

We also welcome one or two well-behaved dogs (max 60lbs each) and offer a 42” crate, dog bed, food bowls, leash, dog shampoo and poop bags for your use.

Whether you're enjoying your morning coffee with lake views, grilling your catch, or relaxing fireside after a fun-filled day on the water, this is the lake life you've been dreaming of.

Fun Fact: Many of the scenes of Netflix’s hit show Ozark were filmed at Lake Allatoona. The famous Blue Cat Lodge is a 5 minute drive (10-15 minutes by water) from the cottage and now operates as JD’s on the Lake restaurant across from Little River Marina – they kept the Blue Cat sign over the bar! Other lakefront restaurants include Sunset Grille at Victoria Harbour Marina plus Allatoona Grille Steakhouse and The Deck at Holiday Harbour Marina (Acworth, GA). Most restaurants open seasonally April – October.

PLEASE NOTE:
Minimum age to rent is 25. Renter’s agreement, ID and damage deposit or damage insurance are required.

Tall Pines Retreat is in a residential neighborhood and quiet hours are 10pm – 8am. We know our neighbors, and they will let us know of issues.

ABSOLUTELY NO PARTIES OR SMOKING. Parties/smoking will result in minimum fine of $250.

This property is on a septic system. Only toilet paper may be flushed. Do not flush wipes (even “flushable”), feminine products, diapers, paper towels, or other items. Putting these in the system can cause costly damage and you will be responsible for repair costs, with a minimum fine of $250 deducted from the security deposit.

The water level in Lake Allatoona is managed by the Army Corps of Engineers and fluctuates depending on rainfall. There will be low/no water at the dock October through mid-April.

Children must be supervised at all times on the dock. Swimming, fishing, kayaking, and paddle boarding are at your own risk. Absolutely no diving off the dock.
