"We really enjoyed staying at The Monte Vista during the Sourwood Festival. It was great to walk to town to eat and attend the festival. The hotel is old but very charming. It has a lot of stairs and no TV in some rooms, so be sure to book a room accordingly."

The penthouse was phenomenal… very VERY Spacious, and offered all of the comforts of home with 2 bedrooms, kitchen area and plenty of comfortable seating. One a very minor problem, as noted by others, is that the toilet required a long flush or multiple flushes. My problem is that I forgot to ask for additional towels. I checked in at night and by the time I noticed that I need extra towels, I didn't think anyone would be around who could fulfill that request."

Room was quiet. Grounds well kept.
Unfortunately someone backed into my parked car overnight and did not leave a note. I was allowed to review surveillance camera video and it did not capture the culprit. There was a 2 hour gap in the video though when it may have occurred. Large dent in tailgate and deep scratches below rear window.
That was my only disappointment with the hotel.
