DISGUSTING AND UNETHICAL! Upon arrival, the outside of the facilities were badly lit, hardly any light. People loitering around the entrance/outside of the hotel being loud and smoking. Check in was smooth but when we entered our room and checked the beds, we immediately found bed bug carcasses and leftover food/trash stuffed behind the mattress against the headboard. It was obvious that whoever cleaned our room did not change the sheets properly because of what was left behind from the previous patrons. Who knows how long that food has been stuck there and how many bedbugs are crawling throughout the entire hotel. We were in the room for less than 10 minutes and immediately took our stuff back down to the front desk to complain and ask for a refund. Was told that they could cancel our reservation and that we would need to contact Expedia to start the refund process. Front desk lady assured me that they will communicate with Expedia for my refund. I did exactly what they told me to and contacted Expedia. After 4 days of Expedia trying to reach out to this hotel to speak with the Manager (Robert Fereno) to approve the refund, they were not able to reach him. Expedia then sent me an email saying I would get no refund and only $25 in One Key Cash. I called the hotel to inquire why no refund, got put on hold for 2 hours, still not able to reach manager. It’s obvious they are being avoidant. I now have a case with Choice Hotels Corporate. THIS HOTEL DOES NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS
