"I really liked this place, noting not good especially with transport. "

"It really needs a makeover this hotel. Everything seems old and worn out. We had a few plugs hanging from the wall, opviously nit working. Had booked a family room - got two seperate rooms? Arrived at 5 pm however the rooms were still not ready? Very disappointing experience."

"One night stay before touring Namibia. Spacious apartment, good bed, easy to get to and relatively near to both shopping and restaurants. Basic breakfast, very friendly staff. Beware the very steep driveway though. It's not called Hillside for nothing."

"I was bumped over to Movenpick, the sister hotel to Mercure on the shared property. Rooms at Movenpick have been redone and are nicely fitted out. The gym is awesome. The pool and pool area also awesome. There’s a coffee and pastry shop— excellent. And a nice restaurant whose primary fault is that there are only two fish dishes: Norwegian salmon and prawns. There’s a pizza place located within Mercure."

"If you're looking for a place in Windhoek where you'll feel welcome and at home right from the start, the Uhland will be a good candidate. The place is nice and clean, the rooms are spacious (some of these have aircon, others haven't, ours just had a large fan in the ceiling, but this device actually did a very fine job, even in the middle of the hot summer period). The breakfast is nice - and if you do not fancy sporting out into the town at night, the snack-style restaurant serves a small, but...
