"This is a great value for money budget hotel and was ideal for a one night stopover. The room is small, but has enough room to hang a few clothes, place a small bag and has a small desk and chair to work from. It was modern and clean with a comfy bed and TV. Unfortunately the screen cast feature wasn't working on the TV, but otherwise the USB charging points and several sockets were great.Air con was very effective on a warm night. "A spacious and comfortable lodge with a pleasant view of the lake (not the marina). It is in a quiet spot slightly uphill from the marina itself. Apart from the Canada geese on the grass, we saw tufted ducks on the lake, a heron in the reeds and oystercatchers on the grass. Plus other birds in the trees. Please note that the cooling towers are not visible from the lodge because of the trees. In any case they are decommissioned."

"Check in was no frills. We arrived half an hour before check in and was offered a room but for an extra fee. I accidentally booked the room for one person so had to pay an extra £12 for breakfast which was fair enough but on check out an additional £10 for the extra person which I thought was unfair."

"Looks great from the outside but tired in the inside. My room was quirky which was fine but the furniture and the bathroom in particular was very dated and could have done with some tlc. The food was ok - bar snacks - but seemed to be very random opening and closing times in the evening. Stunning grounds and location which partly made up for the underwhelming interior."
