This is my honest review for this hotel.
Communication was excellent through Expedia’s messaging system, and WhatsApp. They were very helpful leading up to and upon our arrival.
Overall, the staff was fine. Some of the staff members were a little bit aloof, and not that helpful, and some of them were very helpful. The staff is very young and I think lacking in customer service training in some cases.
We paid for their nicest suite, which includes what was supposed to be a private terrace. Unfortunately, the terrace has a public stairway access. And it is not secured. There is a chain at the bottom that is easily removed, and then a temporary rolling wall that can be pushed aside. The stairway leads down into the public restaurant area, so someone can come up really at any time. So even though we paid for a private terrace, we couldn’t really completely enjoy it as such. One day, we even returned back to the hotel to find that the rolling door/wall had been removed, and I had to ask for it to be put back. When I asked, a staff member initially told me “no one will come up there.” Instead of just saying sure we’ll take care of it.
The room itself was fine. The bed was comfortable. And the view from the room of the ocean was amazing. The bathroom was a problem. The shower makes a huge mess in the bathroom and outside of the bathroom. And there is no hot water at the sinks for shaving.
Customer service is also subpar in their restaurant.
