Authentic Log Cabin in the Pocono Mountains

This is a 3 Bedroom 2 Bathroom Log Cabin located in the Pocono Mountains. It is a completely remodeled home with many added features. Downstairs you will find the living room with a propane fireplace, a game table to play cards or foosball along with 2 reclining couches. Behind the living room you have an entertainment area with a pool table that rotates into an air hockey table. Also their is a small bar and a hanging chair to relax and read books or wait your turn for the games! The dining room has seating for 6 and the kitchen has all essentials to cook. The stove top is propane and the fridge has water and ice. Walk out the back door to a nice 8 person hot tub. On the upper deck with the hot tub is a combonation propane/ charcoal grill with a side smoker. Back inside under the stairs are a large capacity washer and gas dryer. The downstairs bathroom has an new jacuzzi bathtub. The upstairs bedrooms are very spacious. One has a twin xl over full bunk bed and a queen bed. The other has a queen bed along with a couch to relax on which folds out into a full bed. This room also has access to the balcony with plenty of seating, a propane fire pit/table and wonderful views. The upstairs bathroom has a stand up shower with a bench built in to relax. Out back you will find a firepit that can be used along with a new 12ftx20ft deck. Out front you have a driveway to fit up to 4 cars. While sitting outside you will most likely be greeted with deer that will walk right up the the home. This home is the perfect getaway to enjoy nature at its finest!

Hvad ligger i nærheden?

  • This is one of my favorite hiking trails! It consists of 3 big waterfalls as you ascend to the top. Be cautious though you need real hiking boots to hike the trail. It’s extremely slippery because of the waterfalls and we went on a day where it rained so it was even worse. Most people make their way up the side of the waterfalls, which involves a lot of climbing on rocks and using your hands. It gets very crowded so we went up the "flatter" trail most people use to go down, which made for a really good work out, and started from the top waterfall and made our way down. This is not a kid friendly place. The trail is dangerous and difficult. There were warning signs everywhere saying to wear the correct shoes and that people have died here, but there were so many people there with their small children who were having lots of trouble climbing and so many people with flip flops. Also no one here had any hiking etiquette about letting others pass. Regardless, this is one of my favorite trails.

NICE CABIN - ASK QUESTIONS ABOUT HOT TUB AND NEIGHBOR BEFORE BOOKINGTook me a while to write this review as I wanted to be fair to the host/property while also addressing some strong concerns. Hot tub NEVER worked. It was dismantled and the water was 80 degrees. The host was shocked as he said he was told it was fixed after the previous renters had the same issue. 3 of our 5 days were spent with neighbors who were trying to fix it which never happened. (I did get a partial refund for the inconvenience)Cabin was nice and had room for the 5 of us with everything we needed.Backyard area was unkempt and table was unusable. Ramp in back is very slippery and unsafe when damp or wet so be careful. The firepit was very nice and where we spent most of our evenings since the hot tub didn't work.We were warned to stay away from the neighbor. From 8-8 he would have an outside speaker pointed towards the cabin playing "white only" type of music full blast. The host was a nice and he did try to resolve the hot tub but having people there trying to fix it during our stay and dealing with the prejudiced neighbor; it wasn't a great experience.I'm not sure the experience I had actually justifies a 3 rating but I liked the cabin, there wasn't anything it didn't have that I needed, the firepit was great for evenings and the host was nice to work with. It would be a 5 star cabin if not for the transparently prejudiced neighbor and if the hot tub gets fixed

Whole family agreed worst place we've ever stayed

The property is not maintained and can not tell neighbors its a rental. The hot tub does not work. We notified the host, he sent a drunk neighbor to tell us it was working, we know when water is cold. Finally admitted it was broken and drained it three times on the already rotting deck. Harrassed our family for days until we contacted vrbo. Told us to boil water and fill it up. My son fell three times because of the conditions out back. Washer leaks and stove has buttons that do not work. Left dirty sponges to use at the kitchen sink. Contacted vrbo and host called us liars, sent pictures to get refund. Hoping to save another family from having their vacation time soiled.

Friends weekend

Wonderful weekend getaway in this beautiful log cabin. Hot tub was wonderful even though not all the jets worked. House is fully stocked with everything you may need. Many games to play to occupy your time. Definitely recommend staying here.

Cabin almost has it all

The cabin was equipped with all we needed inside. The outside area was equipped as well but the outside furniture and deck area needed a good cleaning. The hot tub was awesome and the outside gas grill and fire pit. The wild life was fun to experience. The upstairs shower and bath is cramped but both bathrooms were stocked with all we needed. We enjoyed all the game areas in the house too. Some of the landscaping needed attention. If I had a question it was quickly answered. Very nice cabin.

Just as described

Our family stayed a long weekend while visiting the area. House was very clean and well stocked. All the beds were comfy. The pool / air hockey table, along with the darts and hot tub kept us busy in our free time. The front porch was nice to sit in the morning and have our coffee and breakfast while watching all the deer. We would definitely recommend to others and request to stay again when in the area.

THE PERFECT PLACE

Pictures don't do justice of how beautiful this cabin is. It is simply perfect and my husband, a man of not many words just kept saying to myself and family how much he absolutely loved this cabin and wants to buy it. The decor, the details, and just the simplicity but so unique makes u feel in awe. I now want to redo my whole my home to mimic this cabin as much as I can....we have been to lots of places, beautiful vacations beautiful hotels, and rentals but something about this cabin we just didn't want to part from. My 16 year old and his friends absolutely loved it as well. They really appreciated it, how unique and different from the typical suburban homes and for a teen that says a lot. Such a draggy review I'm sure but there really r no words to explain how wonderful this cabin is. We want to buy it and have even reached out to the owner to let him know if he ever sells to please contact us....that's how wonderful this place is. If u r questioning it or looking at other places....DO NOT....this cabin is beyond perfect!!!!

Fun week stay for family!

We loved our week stay at this property. Beds were comfy, cabin was great, loved the hot tub and the porches were a relaxing hang out where we could watch the wildlife! The on-site playground was great for the grandchildren.

Family spring break

We had a wonderful time staying in this cabin. It was clean and had lots of fun things to do. It was well set up for our family of five. Steve was very responsive to messages. We will definitely stay here in the future!

A cozy comfortable getaway

The place was great! Right before our visit the hot tub broke and our hostess able to put in a whole new one right away ! The place was spotless and cozy. Had to text for the Wi-Fi info but our host responded right away!

Beautiful and Relaxing Getaway Spot

We had a a wonderful and relaxing time at this nicely updated and well stocked cabin! We had our 10 year old son and 14 year old daughter with us. They loved playing with the pool table and air hockey. The hot tub was wonderful for a nice soak! The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. We enjoyed a cozy weekend playing games and hanging out as a family. Beautiful cabin. We were very comfortable and had great time.

White Haven get away

We had a very nice, relaxing time at Steve's beautiful cabin. We were only there for two days and spend most our time relaxing on the couch and a night in the hot tub. Cabin has been recently updated and the modern touches really add to the experience.

Amazing!

The house was perfect for a family getaway! Had everything we could want or need! Very clean and homey! Also had some stuff for the doggies if needed! Host responded quickly and rules were simple to follow! Perfect stay and will be returning for future trips!
